come to think of it,i think he could walk on stage and win any comp in nz ,and drug tested! with a about a months training and diet,

im not trying to mock ya dude, but if i new i was going up against ya on stage,id be training my calves like hell to expose yours!

I know Kim, top guy I met him a couple of years ago when we did the Naki, at my 82kg vs his 102kg I feel I took three of the 7 poses off him that day - (I will be onstage in Melbourne and Auckland at 95kg next time), and Mike Ryan called it the best class in the 20 years of the Taranaki shows history-

actually Kim sorted my accomadation out for me and gave me his NPC Team Queensland shirt , I'll look forward to catching up with him again.

I don't know whether he is Pro, he won the Aussie Nationals HW class in 05 I understand, but i'm not familiar whether they grant the card at the Nationals or you have to do Paul Grahams Pro Qualifier.

You might have an opinion about my calves, but hey, excuse me if I take the advise of Top IFBB Pro Moe Mossawi and International IFBB judge Tom Terry over you, those that have actually seen me in person have a better understanding of what I need to do over someone checkin out four pics.

Pissed off?

hardly, take in context my comment.

You are by your own admission a novice who is looking at pictures, I have pointed out that a Top Pro and Top international judge have reviewed my physique in person and complement me on my calves, and I am choosing to take their advice. Tom and I agree that I need more ham size and lower trap/mid back thickness. I always feel I need more quad size, and Moe has pointed out that at that level medial head of the delt development is paramount, so I am focussed more on those opinions than yours.

As I said, keep in context these experts have seen me in person, and as you know with your experience it is far more accurate than a photo.

I have also pointed out that my photography is the likely cause of your error, and am still happy to send you a pic of my calves if you'd like.

Yep - I also competed at that show in '05 and it certainly was a beauty! I well remember the fantastic battle between Kim and Mike in their class. I managed to win the Masters Over 40 class and make up the numbers in the overall lineup which Kim deservedly won.

Apart from Kim's impressive physique, one thing that I distinctly recall was that 2 or 3 of his fingers on one of his hands had been amputated at the first knuckle. I assume he'd lost them in an accident, but obviously he found ways to train effectively with his hand like this. I also bumped into him last year at the Australian Pro show on the Gold Coast - he was one of backstage helpers there.

The "indian" guy was Sanjeev Narayan (from Auckland, I think) - he won the Overall NZFBB Wellington title that year and while he wasn't "big", he had amazing symmetry and proportion. I don't think he has competed since then - at least not in NZ.

Kim did work around his fingers problem well a,u think how hard it would be pick up 50 kg d/bs like that a,

I totally agree, Mr HD NZ!! .. picking up 50kg dumbells is damn hard enough for a skinny old man like me (who has all his fingers intact!) to haul up! :pfft:

Salah knows what I think the outcome of our competitve meeting will be, I told him in person when we were at his shop. We're great friends, the gym is our battleground- the stage our warzone, but in the end we come off as mates.

I actually have on my fridge a quote of Salah's he left on my voicemail after i won the Overall Mr New Zealand; "you come out like a man...you won like a lion" its sounds much cooler in his accent!

Took this pic tonight at the gym of my calf, hope it meets you expert and esteemed approval mr HD :pfft:

Haha tryin to start a fight bro?

na it just cracks me up how people talk shit and talk it up but then when they face to face with the person they humble as hell lol.

LMAO! salah told me in his shop that his place is 2nd to last lol

Well that made little to no sense to me, I don't know if you think it's me or Salah that "talk shit and talking it up", but we (Salah and I) just had a good conversation about your post Tom...was very interesting. We both know exactly what the other thinks, no secrets-never have been between us.

Face to face we both are honest and open about what we think the end result will be.

I'm not on this website to badmouth anyone, if I have something to say to someone, I tend to save it till I can say it to their face.

This will be the end of this part of the topic (re: me v Salah) you'll hear from me, say what you want hereafter, I'll stick with bodybuilding talk on this site-under this post I'll discuss my countdown and prepation to those that are interested.

Paul- Is that Paul deMayos calf? are you logging on from the afterlife?
