i just looked at calender n tommrow will be 4 weeks exactly from when posted my before photo, should re-name this journal the levrone report.

have cut food intake this week just gone ad will do so tis wek coming as i dnt wanna go over 105kg for thi SM comp on saturday, curerenty sitting at 100 first thing in morn and getting to about 103-104 by end of day.

so after saturday it will be WWIII in my kitchen... lol

so i sad pics woul be every 6 to 8 weeks so i am only half way thru b4 m first lot.

have changed a few things comin back this time round and they are really working i believe.

Probably pay to back of training from today..... I'd be doing a light train wed & thurs. Something like full body, 3 light sets per bodypart (as in 60-70% for sets of 8 when you could do 15-20 reps) & lots of stretching.

You want those muscles DOM free & full of glycogen come Saturday.

yeah i did legs yday and will do back today, then i will do light one wed and thurs and fuel up ;) lol

Keep the back work out low volume Tom.... trust me you'll need your back at 110%!

I usually do a med-light implement session on the Sat prior then a Mon-Weds low volume reduced weight session only in the last week. Works for me.

will there be chalk there, or do i needa buy my own?

and i never use a belt when training, should i bring one for this comp?

Chalk, Tacky, Ammonia, etc should all be there!

Bring your belt, knee / wrist wraps, sleeves anything you've got. Never know what you'll need on the day!

One other word of advice. Cut your callouse off today, gives them time to smooth out before Sat & helps avoid tearing.

Gym bag should be loaded with fluids (water & powerades), food (mainly carby stuff - I do bananas, muffins, lollies, muesli bars, sandwiches, cream rice etc), anti inflams, heat rub.

Any reason you're doing the SM comp or just cause yo can?

Pete, i am just doing it cause its in auckland and i can. i havnt been training specifically for it at all have just been continuing with my bodybuilding type program. for myself i think doing this will motivate me more with my training, you can never have too many experiences and hey i might absolutly love it and give bodybuilding the middle finger... ya never know lol. also i reckon ill learn heaps about my own training and most of all from other guys who i wouldnt normally meet just doing bodybuilding, i am always keen to learn. i dont expect to place highly just would like to be able to do complete most of the events with reasonable amount of weight and reps. id encourage anyone to do this kind of thing or a powerlifting comp which i want to also do sumtime on top of their bodybuilding, there is so much to gain from it and nothing to loose (apart from maybe your ego :grin: )

one thng that becomes really obvious with pl and sm events, is that even the guys your competing against will freely help you out, show you things to refine etc. its a real 'team' orientated sport, youll find ppl will give you heapsa pointers on the day.

at bodybuilding comps everyones head is up their own arse. lol those my words

Nate I only just realized today that you were gonna be there I had thought it was an in house gym thing tom was doing Or I would have organized it instead im off to waihau bay to slay a monster kingi that slapped me and is due some TT retribution :-) have fun lads sounds like a mean day.....oh and kava :pfft: havnt had that since I was about 12 with the old man good times lol.

Kava's a staple post workout supplement when the boys do implements at my house! Oh & the odd mid-week session from time to time... :pfft:
