Hey Chopstick, welcome to the forums! I don't know whether you're taking the piss or not, but I'd rather give you the benefit of the doubt. :)

Good on you for deciding to fix your lifestyle, and congratulations on your progress so far. I don't know that I can add much more to what everyone else has already said, but here are my thoughts...

Yes, you need to do weights as well as cardio. They each burn fat in different ways. In a nutshell: cardio is great for burning fat while you do it; weight training is great for burning fat while you recover after doing it.

Four days of weights each week is perfect. I suggest something like this:

Mon - Chest, triceps

Tue - Back, biceps

Thur - Legs

Fri - Shoulders, Abs

Yes, you need to fix your diet. Actually, I probably should have put this one first. Stop eating crap - and I'm sure you know what foods are crap - and start eating clean, fresh food that you prepare yourself. Ditch anything that's high in sugar or fat. Make sure you get a source of protein with every meal.

You might want to start by reading our Beginner's Guide to Bodybuilding. Also take a look at the workout logs here (some people include their diet in them too). That will give you an idea of the kind of thing you should be working towards.

Finally, posting photos in 2 weeks time is great if you need it to keep you honest, but realistically you shouldn't expect to see much (if anything) in that timeframe. This game takes a long time to see results, but when you look back after a few years progress, it's worth it.

try to drink lots of water, 3-4litres of water a day would be ideal, too, something not mentioned and commonly overlooked.

i find an easy way to do this is with each of the 6 small meals i have, i drink 600ml of water, just by filling up my big mug and gulping it back.

If your only eating 3 times a day, other than changing that to 6times a day with smaller portions, try to have 600ml a meal, then extra 600ml at morning tea, afternoon tea, first thing in morning or before bed.

Laver, it it true that if my piss is yellow it means not enough water? and should drink more.

In my little experiance, when I started drinking lots of water my piss turned clear, so it is an indication that youre drinking plenty of water, however once i started taking my vitamin c and multivitamins it turned yellow again.

So it depends on your diet,

Re Vitamins

There are other threads about them if your use the search function, I dont know enough about different ones to answer that, I just use a men multi for sports performance from supermarket

yellow ? it should be green, your taking the piss arnt you, if its yellow your obviously drinking way too much water which could be dangerous to your health, centrum sucks its hard on the liver, and you dont want fish oil go to the local fish and chip shop and get a battered one, the oil in the batter is much more beneficial for bodybuilding :D ...... true story.

Those photos look good, Chopstick, but to be honest, they're not going to tell you much about your progress.

You need to take some more photos, without the shirt. If you can get photos of your legs too, even better.

If you're not already, you need to train every muscle group to make decent progress. Training arms alone won't do squat, if you'll excuse the pun. :)

Nope its not dude. Training to be the biggest,

i was thinking of taking up the 8 weeks challenge at the gym that i train in,

it cost 70$ to enter- measurement taken with a trainer and picture taken and a program made for you. you can end up winning 1st place 500 2nd place 250. but i am not too sure how stiff the competition will be
