DAY 40 (Saturday)

Food

Meal 1 - 5 egg whites

Meal 2 - 1 Banana mashed with protein poweder(heated in microwave to make a cake/pancake thingee)

Meal 3 - Large protein shake

Meal 4 - 300-400g roast chicken & salad

Meal 5 - 300g roast chicken, brocolli & carrots

Meal 6 - Protein Shake

TRAINING - Legs & cardio

Don't ask me about my eating today. It was clean, yes, but there was more food eaten today then I should probably have had. I was just so goddamn hungry! It was the first time during this pre-contest prep where I'd have a meal & then 5 minutes later be hungry... :S I bought a chicken to roast and just had extra servings at meal 4 & 5.

Funny thing though... I don't think my body really wanted the extra food. After gorging myself with the extra chicken at meal 4 I was straight to the loo! The same thing happened on Friday when I had my hi-carb day. After eating a meal I was straight in the bathroom, my body obviously rejecting what I was consuming. I will definitely have to be careful when I introduce 'normal' foods into my diet after the comp...

Still feel like a fat bloated blimp...

Weigh-in today. Scales showed a defecit of 1.5kg. YAY! :) (Another reason why I added a few calories, just a small reward for the body)

I worked again today. Last Saturday that I will work, as I now have enough money for bikini & shoes. :)

Meal 2 - Protein Shake

Meal 3 - Chicken & Salad

Meal 4 - Protein Shake

Meal 5 - Chicken & Salad

Meal 6 - Protein Shake

TRAINING - Shoulders & Triceps

Was up at 6.30am on a Sunday morning doing cardio! Intention was to go back to bed but I had all this study to do... :S The study is really starting to stress me. There is so much of it! On top of all my training... EEEEEEP!

I'm finding that I'm tiring rather easily. Take for example when I had to go to the shops. After half an hour walking around Carindale mall I was shattered & just wanted to get out of there! Scoop purchase - as a treat I bought myself an uber-cool Lonsdale gym bag. One of those brown leather ones. Sweet as! :)

Funny supermarket experience today. For once I did not have to queue for a checkout. :) The guy had his back to me & when I put my items on the counter I asked if he wanted to serve me & he said no! Then he started making all these jokes & I was joking along with him. He queried why so many eggs (6 dozen) & I said that I was training for a bbing comp - he tells me to get a chicken! LOL! He was hilarious! Best shopping experience that I have had in awhile! :)

Very irritable the last couple of days. It's quite a shock because I haven't been that way in a very long while...

DAY 42 (Monday)

FOOD

Meal 1 - 6 egg whites

Meal 2 - Tuna, 80g cottage cheese, 1 baked potato

Meal 3 - Chicken breast & salad

Meal 4 - 1 apple

Meal 5 - Kangaroo, 1 cup brocolli & 1/2 cup carrots

Meal 6 - Protein pudding (3 egg whites & protein powder)

TRAINING - Back

The past couple of days in Brisbane have been sweltering! Sunday was 38 degrees and Monday was 37 degrees. I went for a walk (no running for me - too hot!) in my lunchbreak. It was a stunning day & I actually enjoyed the hot sun. :)

Speaking of sweltering... There was no air con in the gym on Monday night! So here I was training & after 5 mins I was soaked in sweat! Great conversation starter though. I chatted to at least 3 people about it (including the honey that I have the hots for, but can't decide if I want him or his brother more... ;) )

Had a crappy day at work. Some of my decisions have been questioned and I had to have a discussion with my manager to clarify a few things. I got put in my place and I'm not too happy about it. But then again that is my look-out. I'm just too cocky & arrogant for my own good! :S

DAY 43 (Tuesday)

FOOD

Meal 1 - 6 egg whites

Meal 2 - Tuna, 80g cottage cheese, 1 baked potato

Meal 3 - Kangaroo & salad

Meal 4 - 1 apple

Meal 5 - 300g fish, 1 cup brocolli & 1/2 cup carrots

Meal 6 - Protein Shake

TRAINING - Chest

Yay! I survived the day without a coffee! :) I had about 10 sugarfree sweets after lunch though, but oh well...

Taking it easy a little this week. Been sleeping in a bit & just doing my morning cardio at home. It gives me an extra 30 minutes sleep in the mornings, so it all helps. Adding extra food in where permissible also helps - like eating a couple of extra egg whites in the morning & an extra serve of fish this evening. :) 6.5 weeks to go & I don't want to burn out just yet!

Haha! I had a funny comment given to me yesterday. This woman I work with says to me 'Gee your looking gaunt in the face... Look at all those wrinkles..." ROFLOL! Anyone else would have been insulted, but no, not me! I was quite happy. :)

DAY 44 (Wednesday)

FOOD

Meal 1 - 4 egg whites

Meal 2 - Tuna, 80g cottage cheese

Meal 3 - Chicken breast & salad

Meal 4 - 1 apple

Meal 5 - Kangaroo, 1 cup brocolli & 1/2 cup carrots

Meal 6 - Protein Shake

TRAINING - Cardio

Today I was feeling much stronger and not as tired as I have been in the past few days. Second day in a row that I did not have coffee (however I did have a Pepsi Max just after Meal 3 and some sugarfree sweets throughout the day).

People really have no idea what you go through when dieting... I was speaking with my hairdresser and she was asking about my diet and then says 'I guess there's no alcohol then.' WTF!?!?!? If i'm not eating something as basic as bread then WTF would I be consuming alcohol? What a blonde bimbo! Others at work are more supportive and ask what I'm having for lunch etc.

Speaking of work. I am sick to death of the bitchiness and insecurites of those older females that work there. I've always felt incredibly isolated within the team (initially I was seated away from the team) but when you're sitting amongst the 'team' and feel isolated then you know there is something wrong. I will address these issues with my team manager when we have our monthly review next week. The garbage that she said to me a couple of months back really insulted me. Apparently I'm too 'blunt' and I'm rude when I walk in in the mornings and not say hello/good morning. Well how about people saying good morning to me when I walk in? Hmmmm... No... Because they are a bunch of self-conceited, insecure idiots who obviously feel threatened by my mere existence. <----- OK enough of that because now I'm the one who looks the dickhead by being arrogant. Just got to deal with it more effectively. The stress is not good for my body. Hehehe... I'll go into work in the mornings and be EXTRA friendly and say good morning individually, esp to those whingeing bitches (she said rather loudly on Weds morning 'It would be nice to be said good morning to when someone walks in..' Does the world revolve around her?)

Meh! I'm so cranky at times! :S

T - have you had an objective look at your moods when you first signed up to this board (go back to Post 1), and your moods now during your pre-comp phase? Do you think you have changed?....Are people kinda avoiding you for some strange reason?!

Another journal to while away the minutes as I pedal away... :)

12 weeks & 6 days to Competition Day

DAY 1

I've started losing it with people already. I pulled up to the gym this evening & this biarch had her car door wide open & I could not park! I waited 2 minutes before she realised I was there. She just glared at me. I nearly hurled abuse at the feral girl. Simply feral - tiny shorts with a generous muffin top to suit! These QLD girls can be real slappers!

Anywho, time to go eat again...

Stay tuned kitty kats! :)

Hey KIWI this was T's first post as quoted above ... so I think in answer to your question - nope.. her mood hasn't changed, she's been like this from the start, nothing wrong with being consistant eh? he he

Don't mind me I'm just being cheeky!

Oh and T - you don't have to say Good morning if ya don't want, but it would be fun to be super loud and disruptive and super happy positive just to take the piss! I'm sure they'll ask you to go back to your old ways in no time!

LOL - well I guess her first post conveyed how motivated she was etc etc etc - she sounded so ...well...so bouncey-happy....but hey I take on board your comments too now that I reflect. BTW - They also say that BB'ing amplifies natural mood tendencies .......what ever those may be....

DAY 45 (Thursday)

FOOD

FOOD

Meal 1 - 4 egg whites & 2 scoops protein powder

Meal 2 - Tuna, 80g cottage cheese

Meal 3 - Kangaroo & salad

Meal 4 - 1 apple

Meal 5 - 1 1/2 chicken breast, 1 cup brocolli & 80g cottage cheese

Meal 6 - Protein Shake

***1 litre Pepsi Max over the course of the day.***

TRAINING - Bi's & Tri's

In response to the previous comments about my mood. My entry the other the day was out of sheer frustration. Over the past few weeks my mood has remained positive and I am still incredibly motivated, I want this SO GODDAMN BAD! This pre-contest period has been amazingly easy and only once or twice has the thought of giving up crossed my mind. I'm pratically halfway now and my energy levels remain moderate. I get tired at times and my patience has decreased (especially with myself - I get frustrated quite easily with myself :S) I hope that answers all questions that were asked about my moods.

This evening after training I had a craving for naughty foods so what I did was have some extra chicken and some cottage cheese with my dinner and amazingly the cravings stopped! :) I've definitely learnt to listen to my body and fuel it when it tells me to!

On Friday evening I am going to meet up with another guy that I have met off the internet. We have talked on the phone a few times now (2 hour conversations! ) and chatted on MSN a bit. He *seems* really nice but you can never know until you meet them in person...Wish me luck. :)

Hey Chick, If you can't vent your frustration here on your own Journal page then where can you? Your honesty is refreshing and I can relate!

Hope all goes well with the date and you have a good weekend.

DAY 46 (Friday)

Food

Meal 1 - 4 egg whites

Meal 3 - 1 1/2 chicken breast & salad

Meal 4 - 1 apple

Meal 5 - Fish & 1 cup brocolli

Meal 6 - Protein Shake

TRAINING - Cardio

What a day! I woke up high on life and was really bubbly and motivated. I was very chatty at work, talking to people and having a great time.

Today was just one of those days where things happen for a reason. Because I was going out for coffee I went to my 'morning' gym to do some cardio as it is closer to home. I walked in & the 1st person I see is my ex boyfriend (the one that I broke up with 7 weeks ago) and I was like 'oh shit!' , especially after the last time I ran into him there. Anyway I was on the stepper & I get a text 'Come some hi to me when you are done' & I text back 'I've just started, you come say hi to me!'. So a few minutes later he walks over to me and says 'hi'. We exchanged general pleasantries etc etc. Then I say to him 'how am I looking?' & he goes 'yeah not bad, pretty good actually'. Anyway, so this fuckhead is telling me what he has been up to in the past few weeks & I'm thinking, WTF did I see in this guy? He's a loser! I told him he needs to come to my competition and see me on stage... Hehehehe... After he left he texted me & said that I looked pretty damn hot etc. We ended up exchanging a few texts about how, after seeing how good I look, that he wished he treated me better blah blah blah. Whatever... So that was that little event...

THEN... I had my coffee with the guy that I have been corresponding with over the last few days. I had such an amazing time! Really awesome fun. He's just started to play AFL & wants to get fit for training so is really keen to lean up and build a bit of muscle. He goes to me 'Right on Sunday I'm coming to your gym and we can workout together...' Of course that impressed me! ;) We ended up spending about 5 hours together laughing and chatting and having an awesome time. That old cliche - I guess we 'clicked'. :) We discussed our meeting and I said to him 'it's just coffee'

and he was like 'oh that is a refreshing change, most girls term it as a date!' Informed him that there were no expectations and if we hang out as friends then cool. He likes to get to know people first before getting into any sort of relationship with them & I really respect that. Watch this space. :)

Meal 4 - Protein shake made with milk

Meal 5 - Chicken breast & 1 cup brocolli, 1/2 cup carrots

Meal 6 -Protein shake with milk

TRAINING - Shoulders

Another big day with lots of excitement.

In the morning I had my first meeting with Jo Rogers. She is awesome. I am so glad that I have met her as the posing over here differs from back home in NZ. I was posing ALL WRONG! :S EEEEEEK! So much to learn! My mind was mush when I returned. Posing in the heels wasn't so bad, it was just the uncomfortable poses! Jo just stressed to me that the girls come in VERY lean over here, I'm incredibly stressed about this factor... Ah well, watch this space...

My personal life has taken an interesting turn. On Saturday night the guy that I met Friday came over to my place to watch a DVD. We ended up talking till 2am! Don't ask what we were talking about because I was so spaced out but we were just talking utter crap basically and having such a fantastic time! :) I really can't wait to see him again (well it will be soon because we are going to train together at the gym on Sunday arvy :) ) Oooh it's all so exciting! I feel like a teenager again! :pfft:

So glad to hear things are going well for you! I can't believe you actually make the effort and go out with new people while in your diet phase - but that's just so cool, cause they get to see your life style for what it is right from the get go! Hope the gym session on Sunday went well!

As for the comment from '2guns' - don't read my journal if you don't like the 'soft porn'. Comments like that are unnecessary and I was rather angered by your comment! Just watch what you say in future mate. Thanks to Evie & Pseudonym for your support! :)

Haven't written in the journal in awhile. It is usually about this time in a pre-contest prep that you get tired and you slow down a bit, not to mention incredibly busy with posing practice and the extra cardio that needs to be done!

The past few days have been a bit of a blur. Been keeping up with the training but the dieting is slacking just a bit (eating things like a lot of grapes and extra serves of chicken at meals). I'll tighten up this week on the diet. Cannot believe that there are only 5 weeks to go!

My new man takes up a fair bit of my time but he is so understanding. I think that it is amazing that I have met someone when I am so intensively involved in this training. I really do think that this is what has kept me sane this time around!

Posing is going well. I'm starting to pick up the basics and walking in my 5" heels aren't so bad! I'll start wearing the shoes grocery shopping etc! LOL!

The weight is coming off consistently. Yesterday's weigh-in was 1kg lighter than the week previous. I've lost approximately 10kg in total. I still have a fair way to go but I'm definitely on track! :)

Meal 1 - 4 egg whites

Meal 2 - 1 can tuna, mushrooms, onion & capsicum

Meal 3 -Chicken breast & salad

Meal 4 - Protein Shake

Meal 5 - Kangaroo, brocolli

Meal 6 - Protein Shake

Carried A TRUCKLOAD of water today... :S Not very attractive at all! I hate that feeling!

Sunday evening was so cool. I didn't want to leave the company of my new man so instead of going to the gym we went to his footy oval & I ran 10 laps (500m laps) while he practised his kicks etc. After my run I had a kick of the footy as well - it was so much fun! Got to make my cardio interesting. Over Easter we will go to the beach & kick the footy around for a bit of variety (the gym will be closed Good Friday and Easter Sunday  ).

A bit stressed because I have got an essay & an assignment due on Friday. Better get to it! :S

Thursday

God I have been so slack with writing in this journal but I HAVE been rather preoccupied!

Just looked at the date - 29th March. EEEEEK! Competition is in 1 month! AAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!! I'm so excited! It's all downhill from here & I couldn't be happier!

I'm starting to get over all this crap... I've been questioning why I do it. It's torture. I'm tired. I look like shit. I'm still fat. BLAH!!!! 4 weeks. EEEK! I'm scared!

Been holding a fuckload of fluid of late. It's very depressing. By the time I go to bed each evening I look as if I am 8 months preggers! It is very detrimental to my relationship with the mirror! It got so bad that I went to the pharmacy this arvo and purchased the strongest herbal dieuretic that they had on the market... The lady said give it 3 days & I should return to normal. (Whatever normal is... hahahaha) I might even go to a naturopath and get a special concoction made up. :) We'll see how it goes. It's all because of all the protein I've been eating... Grrrr...

Oh well... Just a quick update. My gorgeous man is coming over soon... *SIGH* If I didn't have him I think I would have gone completely bonkers! Key to bodybuilding happiness - meet a new partner. LOL!
