So it appears I've gotten fat lol2.gif Well, fattER since December - the last time I ever measured/weighed myself.

I've got a pair of shorts that have no stretch in them whatsoever. Back in Dec 07 they were really loose, and I had made up my mind that I'd eat over maintenance, put on a little size and do the 5x5 until the shorts fit *properly*. Once they do, scale back a little and diet for a while.

OK I try on the shorts today and the suckers are snug. Like "had-to-suck-it-in-to-do-them-up" snug. redface.gif No more pies! I definitely want to stick with this program, but the diet starts today and I will reduce the volume to 5x3.. me still wanna lift them heavy stuff.

Deadlifts are weird, it's hard to see your form while doing them since you can't turn your head. Well you can but its dodgy, can hurt your back.

Stooooooooooked. I tried pulling closer to my body this time round and the bar flew up (thanks Mike!). Could've done 5 reps, but the fecking bar kept getting stuck with the friction on my upper thighs on the way up which pissed me off, so I just stopped. Old timer at the gym said to put talcum powder on my thighs next time to stop it happening. So will try that next time.

Because of time restraints, I had to train at the local gym today and it sucked so much that I felt like leaving after a couple of sets and maybe kicking some people on the way out cheeky.gif. So it looks like Monday is still National Bench Day lol2.gif Every one of the 10 or so benches were taken up for nearly the entire time I was there :shock: Funnily enough, the 2 squat racks and power rack were free though lol.

Man, that sounds like my gym...Mondays are shocking, esp with all the New Years Resolution bunnies adding to the numbers. Moving between bench/sm/rack is hard, can't get a rhythm going at all, and all the young-guns are still waiting for their mum to tidy up the plates after them. Hey butthead - if you can lift it, YOU CAN PUT IT BACK!

Know exactly what you mean - I had a guy nick a plate off the spare-hooks on my SM while I was in the middle of a set...and then bitch and moan when I ripped him a new one :clubbed: As for the hangers-on and wanna-be's, I'm getting more intolerant of dorks like that. Work out, or get out of the freakin' way!

Jeez - does it sound like I need carbs this morning?
