Macros sound good.

Yeah - I have just been through mine lately and made similar changes. It is amazing how, even though you may be eating clean, by doing the sums it helps to identify what may be limiting growth. I have recently bumped up my cals (even though I want to lose fat) but mainly through increased protein. Although it was already high (relative to normal people!), I feel heaps better with it being even higher. Must have had lots of muscle breakdown/repair happening !

Tell me bout it.. its so weird how a few extra cals can make all the difference  Do you calorie/carb cycle? I'm still a noob when it comes to all this.. its all just trial and error.

And thanks Deegee

I really wish that you would consider competing this year! You would look amazing! :)
i agree  take the plunge with me ;)

You two are much more ballsy than I am.. lol. I'm thinking about the late August NZFBB comp 'cos I need alot of time to work up the courage to get onstage. But I think I'll need to find a person that can make bikinis in obese sizes first lol2.gif

But I'm looking forward to seeing how you guys progress... are you still doing the comp in June small?

Well at least it looked liked your cals were boosted from protein - Was it a nice hunk of steak or something? !!! I usually convince myself that a good hunk of red meat not only makes me feel good but brings out a better killer mood ....squats grrrrrr, leg press grrrrrrr (which makes up for those puny days!) :pfft:

It's a shame NZ can't compete especially in the BB - My BF and I (along with some others) were thinking it would be a good comp to enter if all works out with my 1st one, but alas no luck as NZ not allowed - my guess is that bigger countries would have un-fair advantage ie training facilities, nutrition products etc ...? Although, NZ is technically Pacific Islands ... and Auckland is the largest PI populated city. But I digress, it just opens up a whole can of worms that I’m not about to go on about! Bottom line: It would be great to go to and holiday after!

My understanding is that some NZ'ers have competed in those games by representing their heritage roots e.g. representing Samoa etc. (as opposed to representing NZ). I could be wrong here of course, but What are the rules?

Your pretty much smack bang on there -

The majority of members from team samoa are nz residents....

Nah, most of the nz-born samoan bodybuilders have missed out 'cos the criteria for competing is pretty strict. You have to be:

1. A citizen - hold a current passport from the country

2. A resident - must have lived in the country for 5 years and be able to prove it (not sure how they'll police that though??)

But yeah, there's ways and means.. so it can come down to the whole "who you know" thing :shifty:

Thanks guys

But man, theres a few ladies at the gym that kick my numbers right out the window

Yusss, 100kg was a PB (:jive:), and it was deep (calves hitting the hams). I think I almost shat myself coming back up :shifty: That day I had a training partner so I wasn't scared to go heavy. But on the normal days I train by myself I just set up the power rack with the doodacky's on the side so I can just dump the weights at the bottom if I can't get back up.

When I was in Samoa last year, they had a really good weightlifting arena. I'm sure they've got a good swimming pool too and a track, although at the time they were building the pool.

Yeah I've heard their facilities for the Games are first class. Can't wait!

Thurs 15/2

No training, no cardio.

Had a sucky day at work, so BF ordered pizza and bought me alcohol. I think I'll keep him hehehmn.gif

Man, I wish there were hard-out women bodybuilders were I live, there's none - I'm like the odd one out in the gym and people steer at me train. They're obviously not use to seeing a women lift big weights. But, its quite good, cause I get all the guys helping me.

You're doing really awesome!!!! With your progress and results, you could easily do a comp & win, you'd be gr8 (like everyone's said)!!!
