What's his previous athletic background cause surely he hasn't jumped right in from nothing

I'm not sure bro. You're right, he is well coordinated and athletic. But he is new to weights. Great to see how quickly one can progress. The plan is for him to do some powerlifting also. Not too much as it tends to make you a bit tighter and less flexible which is not ideal for olympic lifting.

Teach him well :nod: I wouldn't back myself for a 140 Clean 'n' Jerk even in 5 years time
