12 hour continuous pump method

According to Poliquin, you would actually notice some atrophy occuring before the extra inch was added around five days later. All I remember was some ridculously sore arms for a couple of days. No extra inch either...

Atrophy in relation to .... ?

1) Original bicep size (ie. when you first measured it before you did this workout, bicep decreased in size below its original measurement)?

...or...

2) Pumped up bicep after you did the workout (ie. as pump decreases, your bicep returns to normal measurement but doesn't atrophy below the normal measurement)?

Kinda hard not to notice a little atrophy in the bicep when you are depleting it of glycogen hourly and not glycogen loading the next day/same day. So I'm assuming that's why the size decreased (assuming bicep decreased below its normal measurement). Too bad the gains you make are only glycogen ha?

Sorry, shoulda been more clear, Atrophy in relation to original bicep size. Incidentally EU, I did this workout with Nick Hawkins if you remember him. He didn't see any results either!

Yeah I remember Nick.

I remember seeing him in the Hall photos of past Weightlifting teams along with Hayden Kummerich. They looked fairly skinny in the pictures compared to when I first started training with them. They were monsters. Can't remember the year when those weightlifting photos were taken (1997, 1998?) but I think it might have taken them less than 5 years to get that massive after they left school.

Nick topped out at 105kg bodyweight, snatching 140 and C+J 175. I remember seeing him do 5s on 200 front squat. He trained at a great level of intensity!
