12 hour continuous pump method

i read about this method in a book and was wandering whether anyone has used it and got results from it?

It involves doing 2 sets of 15 reps of 2 different workouts on a certain bodypart e.g arms bicep curls 2x15 to french press 2x15.

you do this once every hour for 12 hours and it is supposed to increase muscle size by 1cm.

so if anyone has used this method can you please tell me if it worked and if it is very effective.cheers jAhMaN

You may gain some size on your arms doing that due to the pump you get. But the size will be lost once you loose your pump. It's not an effective training method and I wouldn't recomend doing it. It probaly verges on overtraining anyway.

Tell us a bit about yourself

Does sound a lot like overtraining to me too it sounds more like a one off pump type thing rather than a regular routine you would want to stick too

Increase biceps by 1cm in 12 hours - haahaahaahaa :pfft: I believe Waldo actually has personal experience of this particular training routine and can give a pretty good account of the results.

Ahhh, the innocence of youth - come on Waldo - fess up....

Ah the follys of youth. Yup, four supersets every half hour for 9-odd hours if I remember rightly. A certain degree of intensity must be atained. The result....fecking sore arms, no miraculous extra inch though. Perhaps it would have been better applied to another area of the body where 'size matters'.

Flex, you are a really funny dude sometimes :pfft:

LOL - if only it was so simple. :pfft:

I've seen this routine mentioned a few times, and have been tempted to give it a go, but I've never got around to it. Like Mark says, finding the time is a major problem. I should add, I wasn't planning on doing this because I expected to make great gains permanently - it was more out of curiousity about the pump. Anyway, thanks Waldo... you've saved me 9 hours! :D

Incidentally, the 1cm gain sounds like a rip-off. The routines I saw claimed they could achieve a whole inch! :pfft:

How many people would have the time for that sort of a workout anyway? :disgusted:

Time? On a rainy sunday in a deserted gym. Was training with a good mate. We had planned it for a while, and If I remember right, was having a bet with my training partner as to who could get the abs showing by Christmas. I was probably 21 at the time, so was right in the thick of 'believe anything you'll read in a magazine'.

We've all been there...doing Ronnie's routine thinking we'd look like him after six weeks. As I've said to a lot of people, this game is all about sifting the kiff from the buds. It's taken me a long time to learn there isn't a quick fix in this sport. It's about being on your game 24/7, something I still have trouble grasping.

good luck mate, oh dont forget to buy extra t shirts in a larger size just for today.

IF you have no use for them after today when you shrink back to normal size, please mail them out to a poor uni student like myself :)

Being a friday and wanting to look all pumped up for the girls, I imagine the smaller tigght fitting t-shirt will help with this. :pfft:
