I'm in Canada.

I decided against having turkey. It wouldn't have been worth the pain. It looked dry anyways :P

I worked a lot this weekend, so I didn't do anything but that and sleep.

Guess I'll head out for a run at 4am then hit the gym after I get home from work. I have no idea what I'm going to do yet . . . I am so frustrated right now :x .

I guess I'll focus on weight lifting for awhile. I don't feel the same way about it as most people . I don't get all excited when it's time to go to the gym. But maybe that'll change . . . I prefer running because it's a way to vent and I can zone out. I don't feel that way from lifting. I get confused and mixed up at times. But it would be nice to increase my strength. Im such a weakling.

I used to feel this way about lifting too - until I started noticing changes and felt stronger :nod: It can also be a great way to vent 'cos you can take it out on some heavy weights!

So how come you get confused and frustrated when lifting? Do you have a set lifting program? Or has a personal trainer set one for you?

I guess I'm frustrated because I'm feeling so much pressure to lose weight. I was doing so well before I got really sick again and then bam. I don't like being like this. So I'm working on it. I don't mind pressure from myself, I have to work hard and push my limits. It's coming from other people that I don't like. *End of rant*

On a positive note. I am feeling much, much better :) I was scared there for a bit.

Boy was it ever cold out this morning, felt like it was about 2 degrees. I got in 3 miles. I think I'm going to have a cup of boiled water and lemon when I get home to help warm me up because cold water aint cutting it. In fact, my water consumption is decreasing because it's getting colder.

The gym was pretty good. I'm not that great at it and I tend to be a perfectionist. But if I focus on it I'll get better. I did chest and tris today. I hope to up the weights next week.

I'm going to head to the track again tonight. I'll aim for 3.5 miles.

I'll get up at 4:30 tomorrow morning and do pilates.

Today was a very long day. I ran 4 miles this morning. I had planned on going out again tonight but I'm tired, I had about 6 hours of exams today and I think I'm coming down with something. So I'll sleep in tomorrow. And see how I feel in the afternoon.

I'm sorry I didn't notice that you had asked a q.

I get confused because I go to the gym with my brother and we argue or have differences in opinion on some things. And there are so many different exercises. I keep mixing them up. And I'm not sure if I should go with low weights/high reps or heavy weights/low reps. My brother says it's not about the weight. Which I understand but I don't want to sell myself short.

I suppose I think too much and should prolly just listen to my brother for awhile and see what happens. Cause he seems to know what he's doing.

It's just so much easier to run :shifty:

I was in line a the grocery store last night leafing through a mag and saw tricep kickbacks. I forgot all about those. Must remember to switch it up. It must be a chick execise. I can't say I've ever seen a guy do them.

Okay, now it's getting hard to get up at 4am and go out for a run. When the temp is in the negatives like this. All I could think about was how I wanted to be in my warm bed. Brrr.

I've been feeling awesome lately! My flexibilty is getting better, which is really nice. Good ole pilates.

My attitude about lifting is improving a bit more. I'm still afraid of leg day tho. I don't want to get injured and be sol for running. But if I'm careful I should be fine. It still weighs in the back of mind.

Still no spinach :(

Ugh. My bro injured his hand moving a freezer. So I guess I'll be heading on the ladies side of the gym as it's way to intimidating on the normal side without him there with me. Hmmm. I don't even know what's over there. Never even bothered looking when I went on the tour when I first signed up . . .

I am so tired from soccer practice on tues. I did absolutely nothing yesterday and am still sore for tonights practice. I feel so old.

Maybe once you get a program sorted, you can get your brother or a PT to show you a set or 2 of the exercises so you don't feel intimidated in the weights room? And I've also found that my ipod blocks everything (and everyone else) out and I'm focused on my own workout and listening to music I like! Nothing says PISS OFF like having headphones lol2.gif

Whats the difference between the ladie's side of the gym and the other one anyhoos?

I've been on the regular side. But this guy seems to have a real problem with me and I'm not sure what it is. Hopefully my bros hand will be better soon. I'm so concerned about my form without him around . . .

Wow soccer is taking a lot out of me. More than I had expected. Good practice tonight though. And it wasn't raining to hard.

Oooooh I found some spinach :grin: YAY!!!!

I went to the running store and bought a water repellant, refelctive jacket. And the lady there was really nice and said she would like me to show up for running club. It's on wed night and sun morning. I think I might.

I gotta head to the gym, then soccer practice. I guess that's about it for now.

Yay, the power is finally on. It's been off since yesterday morning. There was a serious storm.

Yeah, Tuesdays workout was a bust. Didn't get a chance to do much because the gym was busy and I didn't want to be late for soccer.

Seeing that the power was out yesterday, I used the opportunity to get some extra shut eye. Couldn't do anything anyways.

No gym today becuase it's closed due to power outage, and no soccer practice or running at the track because there is tree debree everywhere. So I guess I'll do some pilates tomorrow am and hit the track in the evening . . .

I don't feel bad about missing soccer cause it's been canceled due to unpredictable weather . . .

I just came home from the track. I cut my run short. I started having these crazy heart palpitations :? it sure didn't feel good. I hope it won't happen again :shock:

Hmmmm. I haven't been posting due to power outages because it snowed BIG time out here.

Ummm. I'm not running outside yet because of the snow :(

But luckily the gym has an indoor track (which is extremely small I might add) But it's better than nothing so I shall keep my whining to a minimum.

So yeah, that's about it.

Oh, no more weird palpitations. I conclude the cause was: STRESS :?

Hmmm. I've been extremely lazy on the updates. I've been running and doing some lifting. Not as much as I would have liked, but there has been a lot going on ^_^

Oy. I haven't been doing pilates. Oh dear.

I just came back from a run, it wasn't that great. It's FREEZING outside. And my neck and shoulders were sore (still are) cause I'm tense.

Heh, the one day I actually want to go to the gym and lift. It's closed due the holiday. Oh well. Tomorrow should be fine.

I went for an early run this morning. Was too ancy to really sleep well last night. And I was shocked to see two other people out at 4:45 in the morning.

Yeah, the gym was busy and I didn't have the patience to wait around. So I left and got a massage instead. Wow. I really needed that!

I feel heaps (hee,hee) better :)

I get the day off tomorrow, so I'll head to gym in at around 10:30, should be nice and quiet around then.

:shock: No gym again today. I didn't manage to get around to it ^_^

Went to the track instead. I'll do some pilates in the morning. Oooh. I must remember to stretch before bed. I don't want my legs cramping again. That hurts so much :x

Wow, where have I been?

Umm the gym has been okay. I'm not doing any chest workouts for a least another week. I'm going to do back/biceps tonight and a run around the indoor track at the gym. I was going to do a run on Sunday, but it has been cancelled due to forecasted snow. I really wanted to sign up for a marathon in the middle of Feb but it looks like there is going to be snow then as well. And I'm not going to pay money and then have it snow. Other people might run it. But I'm not really familiar with that area at all. If it were in my town, no prob.

Lack of sunlight sucks :(

Went to the gym and attempted chest/tris. I'm still pretty weak. Wasn't feeling ot hot last week. The majority of the snow is gone for now. YAY! :grin: So I'll hit the track tomorrow. I can't wait to start going back up to the lake.

I did back and bi's yesterday.

Yay. I have finally found a run that will work for me. I'm not sure if I'm going to sign up as an individual or join a group with some co-workers. Knowing me, I'll prolly go solo.

This'll just take some organization on my part and a serious attitude. Found a training sched that sounds alright.

It's supposed to be a nice day out tomorrow. It's great to see the sun again :D

Finally something to strive for.

Guess I'll ditch the track for awhile and hit the pavement.

I suppose I'll go out in the evening because it's been frosty and slippery in the morning.

I need to: increase my water consumption

-get some more variety in the veg I've been eating

-decrease my protein

- follow my training sched

- take my vitamins, I've been slacking on the liquid calcium again

I'd like to be able to run as much of the 10km as possible.

Why do you need to decrease your protein? How much are you eating right now?
