Good stuff on the registration... there's no turning back now! thumb.gif

Why do you need to decrease your protein? How much are you eating right now?

Need to decrease for medical reasons. It's just for a month until after a specialist appt. Right now I'm at 70g and I should be at 47g. 23 is expendible for the time being.

Wow, 47g isn't alot at all... and yusss I need to up my vege intake as well :shifty:

Have you done a marathon before? Or will this be your first?

No, it's not a lot. Makes it really hard to eat at times . . . mmmm steak :(

 Veggies are good for you. Although I am very sad to state I'm getting an eency weency bit tired of spinach :o I think I might switch to another dark leafy green for a bit.

I suppose the answer would be yes. This is the first one I will be able to take seriously. I'm not going to let anyone or thing get in my way. I feel very healthy right now anyways. And *cough* it's just a run, not enough to even be a half marathon. Only 10km.

I am going to be awfully disapointed in myself if I don't do well :(

The results are going to be in the newspaper

Ooooh it's another sunny day! I think I'm going to play some tennis. Then it's off to running club for me. I'm a little nervous as it's been awhile since I've ran with other people.

Only 47 grams of protein?!!!

Are you sure you're feeling okay? You've been looking really pale and have been lifting lighter db's lately. I really think you should see the doctor before the month is up . . .

Training for the sun run? What running club are you in?

If you want my advice I suggest you stop wussing out on leg day. It would help with your running if you made a solid effort.

Slow down on the flys. You aren't going to get anywhere if you keep that up.

Otherwise keep it up!

Hey, no real point in posting a response seeing that I already spoke to you.

Oh dear. According to the scale I've lost 8 pounds in a week. I seriously hope most of that has been water

Running club was pretty rough tonight. I think hospital hill is going to be the death of me. I'm super sore!

Signed up for a running clinic on Sunday. I'm really looking forward to it.

Things should be back to normal after monday. I have a really nice meal planned out. Yay!

Gym contract is over at the end of the month. I'm not going to sign on for another year and they don't do monthlies. So I suppose I'll just go to the rec centre. Only downfall is it's really humid in there due to the indoor pool. Oh well.

I just came back a from. It was pretty short, but very hard. I dont think Ive ever ran so hard before.

I really want to eat meat right now. But I can't blow all the hard work I've done preparing for these medical tests.

Monday night, I'm eating the biggest steak ever.

Just a few more days . . .

Oy. There seem to be a few bumps on the road, right now. But life isn't easy and that isn't a reason to give up a dream. If I really want this I know I can make it work.

Running has been kinda lacking lately. I've just been going out with no real goal in mind. Which is not good if I'm training for my run. It's coming up soon. I need to get my act together asap.

Added fish and a little bit of chicken back into my diet and I have been feeling a lot better. Hooray for protein!

YAY!!!!!!!!!! Yer, I love that determination. It's what makes the end goal even more worth it. Because, to keep going - when there's a few bumps in the road and a few challenges, adds to the challenge. Human nature wants to quit, but as the saying goes - "when the going gets tough, the tough keep going and going....".

I find that for my goals with gaining strength in my training. The times I have seen the most results, is when I've had a few disappointing things happen or personal setbacks, but instead of allowing myself to be discouraged. I've found the inner determination to continue on and allow it to make me more full of that "grr" and "focus". Only way to explain it - (like a bull that sees red and charges on)

Sarah, I use to train for marathons and long distance cycling races, so I know whats its like. You're right, its not a reason to give up on a dream! Hold on to your dreams, and see that finish line in sight. It will feel more worth it in the end, because it cost you something extra to get there.
