Nice strong pressing bro... that issue you are having with your bicep is a rotator cuff issue, the biceps origin is just in the inner shoulder blade and runs through the bicipital groove and down to your forearm.. you got to watch it man cos over time it can cause you some problems. I have exactly that same issue when I do heavy pressing and over time it now affects me doing back work as well. Stubborn mofo bodybuilders ha ha ha ha just get it taken care of man cos you shift some serious weight and you don't want anything to give out!!!!!

Thanks for the insight H. I Had a dislocated shoulder 3 years ago and I started training hard again as soon as could. Do you reckon it might stem from that?

When you say get it sorted what do you recommend? Solid warmups and stretches? Surgery?

That would be how it started.. go get it scanned bro and then work from there. See if you can go see a good sports surgeon. Being stubborn just got me a torn bicep man so I always think guys should be proactive about injury management.

Now I always warm up thoroughly and if it's hurting I just don't do it. My biceps workouts are mostly cables and crap cos I have good foundation for size so just work what I can. When it feels good as it sometimes does then I go hard out but when it's sore I don't push it too hard.

Tonight was Back and Triceps

Warmed up with 2 sets of 10 widegrip Pullups then got into Deadlifts

Warmed up to 4 pps then started working sets

240kg x 5

Loaded up 260. Was about to lift when someone came up to me and started asking about my diet. A couple of minutes later I got back into it but had lost my rythym. Started the pull but stalled at the knees and didn't get it.

Dropped back to 240kg and did 3 reps

Then went back to 220kg and repped out 8 good reps with pauses for a 2 count at the bottom.

Moved onto the Lat pulldown machine.

120kg x 12

127kg x 12

127kg x 12

134kg x 10 + DS 90kg x 12 + DS 60kg x 21

Rear Delt Flies were next

Did 3 sets of 18 @ 100lb

Finished back with 3 sets of 12 Seated rows at 100kg

Closegrip Bench was first on the menu for triceps

Warmed up to 2pps

140kg x 6

140kg x 5

140kg x 5

Then moved onto Weighted dips

Put on weight belt and chained up two 20kg plates

16 @ BW + 40kg

12 @ BW + 40kg

Went to take off the chain to finish on bodyweight dips but the caribena was jammed so took a good 3-4 minutes to get off. By the time it was off I was cold and a couple of guys wanted the dip bars so I didn't worry about it.

Started DB skullcrushers.

25kg x 12

25kg x 10

25kg x 8. DS 20kg x 8

Finished on rope pulldowns

Fullstack x 32 reps

Done

Weighed in at 111kg tonight

Trying Kanga Bangas for the first time tonight. Shit loads of protein and lean as. Hope they taste good too

yeah 2nd that on skippy meat!!

cheap and very lean and tasty

Can't stand kanga meat.... bleugh!!!

I agree Harry, can't stand Kangaroo steaks, so tough and gamey. Makes me want to vomit. But the Sausages are all minced up and taste like thick beef sausages. Actually really tasty and easy to eat.

I bought them after getting them recommended by a guy who was last years 4th place getter at NABBA Worlds in the Super heavyweight's at the gym last night. My missus reckons he could recommend me horse shit and Id buy it lol. Whatever works aye ;)

And Chemo with rope pulldowns my hands are almost together at the top then they come down like a V to my sides.

Good to finish on but I don't use then as a staple Tricep exercise.

Today was a nice beautiful 25' day so I went for a 2hr walk on this beach around lunchtime. Spliced it up with 30 second sprints every 5 mins or so for about half an hour of it. For some reason I can't run or jog cos I get shin splints but I can sprint. Go figure.

Anyway the bonus of the walk today meant I didn't have to do cardio after my workout today and I was also sporting a nice tan at the gym tonight, makes everything look 10 times better lol \:D/

Shoulders/Traps/Calves

10 min warmup then into DB Shoulder Press

10 x 50kg

10 x 50kg

8 x 50kg

6 x 50kg

12 x 40kg. DS 18 x 20kg

DB Side Raises

3 sets of 12 @ 20kg

DB Front raises

3 sets of 10 each arm w 30kg DBs

Standing Military Press

12 x 60kg

4 x 100kg

10 x 80kg

12 x 60kg

Shrugs on plate loaded Machine

12 x 320kg

8 x 360kg

12 x 320kg

DB Shrugs

3 sets of 18 w 60kg DBs

Seated Calf Raise

3 sets of 21 w 80kg

Good session. Shoulders were burning, military presses were agony, 100s were turning into push press so dropped the weight so could remain strict.

When you put it like that it does seem a bit excessive doesnt it. I will try and tone it down just for you Daz

I wouldnt say I do that many sets very often, just when I get challenged by a training partner, I don't back down

Interesting training session tonight. Drove up to PTC Brisbane which was an almost 4 hour round trip. Its a new Powerlifting gym with young enthusiastic members and reminds me alot of CBC. The guys were great except they kept trying to pinch me over to the Powerlifting Darkside  I was invited up to Squat so squat I did.

Worked up to some paused 200s, then did a double at 250. Thought Id try and crack a 290 which would be a 10kg PB in just a belt but it wasn't to be.

Stripped the weights and did a max rep challenge with 4 plates per side (180kg). Managed 21 tonight again! Shouldn't have been so greedy and left the bigger squats out and would have been fresher, might have got the 25 I was after. The boys videoed it for me so got to see my form. Not bad in the 250s but I tended to not sit back in the 180s as much as I should be. Happy with the end result though.

Here is the vid (NB there are 25kg plates used in the 250 squat, and yes I did change my shirt to please my sponsors lol)

After that I practised some paused benching up to 175kg, Military Press 10 rep sets up to 92.5kg and some clean and press.

Cheers Luigi, got a fair way to catch Platz. He did 5 plates for 21 but yeah that is my ultimate goal.

I have been doing a bit of Promotional work for ASN (Australian Sports Nutrition) so they hook me up a fantastic rate for all my supps.

Love your work bro  Getting stronger and stronger all the time 8)

Just a thought...if you opened your stance just a little I reckon youd keep that heel on the ground and get more power and possibly depth....and yeah the sitting back would have popped a few more up. 2c bro

Solid work and ethics
