So as the title says im sure we have all had run ins with these types before,

im going to have a vent and as it will be funny to read i invite you all to as well.

I know a fellow who thinks he knows it all he must be as strong as my 5 year old nephew :pfft: hes had afew training seasons with the man who taught me most of what i know Mr Tony King and he nearly killed him, this guy trans maybe two days a week max for about 6 months now the same story no change in his body nothing at all.

He talks to me like he wants some info ive been in this game since i was 13 now mid 20s then ignores what i have to say :doh: this guy thinks creatine is the best thing since sliced bread, i tell him at your level there's almost no effect save your money spend it on good food. In one ear out they other, so as of late i dont tell anyone jack stupid people.

What are your guys stories?

I may have come across as a bit of a know it all today

I stopped a lady at a health store who (after soliciting and following staff advice) was buying thermogenic 'weight loss' pills together with a huge tub of mass gain powder. I pointed out the competing objectives of the two and suggested a straight protein powder might be more like what she's after.

The staff member looked at me like I had just taken a dump right there on the carpet. Should I have just left it to the "expert"?

dnt needa hate mate, i know you stronger and prob bigger than me at moment... not being cocky but in a few months ill prob make you look like peanuts so lets just be all good, so u dnt look like the fool in few months.

to help courts out and get the thread back on the topic heres something which has been happening over the last coupla years for me:

atm im training for a comp overseas and had just started carb depleting, so neway theres this guy whos always comin up to me telling me how much hes lifting and how much stronger hes getting etc etc (including a ripped surfer worthy quote of "ive put about 4kgs of muscle on in the last week and a half").

so anyway, my training partner had fallen sick a couple of days earlier and i was tired of this fella telling me he was dominating the gym in a big way so i asked if he'd like to come train with me that evening for legs. he wanted to show me how much of a gym buff he was so was stoked to come along.

neway this fella (after dropping the weights down considerably inbetween sets for him) ended up throwing up on the 4th and 11th sets, then ended up going home early due to his fitness levels.

this didnt stop him though, later that evening he got in touch with me and asked what i was training tomorrow, i replied with shoulders and he asked if he could come along for another train.... i gently broke it to him that his body just wasn't up to it. poor fella.
