Hack Squats = Quads

The grueling and exhausting effort I put into hack squats over winter has finally paid off resulting in improved quads for me. I definitely think hacks are better than normal squats for getting the sweep. What do you think?

Now it's time to etch some grooves in those wheels = diet!

Nar standard squats are far better, great finishing move imo.

agreed...Alternating squat workouts high rep/medium weight with lower rep/high weights should not only give you far better size in legs and the rest of your body for that matter.

I`ll let the experts explain the science of why I`m right but free weight squats will definately activate more growth.

I occasionally do both, where I'll throw a few sets of (lighter weight/high reps) Hacks in at the end of my legs day. I find it exhausts the quads completely, can barely stand after it. Was still struggling to stand a few days after the legs workout the last time I did this a few weeks back

Garth is right and has the quads to prove it!

Front squats are what I used to bring up quads, being rather tall 6'4.5 I can't back squat with good form while going ATG, well I can but front squats feel alot more natural to me and less strain on lower back,

Just gotta do some RDL's after to make up for loss of glute and ham activation from using fronts over backs

I also alternate squat workouts as well most of time I do high reps for squats and low reps for squats
