You might wanna supplement with some zinc, just to be on the safe side hey 8)

If you are le SuperPump junkie: Magnesium (Phosphate & Oxide) 350mg

(Though I personally think oxide is the poorest form of magnesium. No I don't have the inclination to find any studies to support that right now, I'm too busy nurturing my LEAN MASS 2cyobhv.jpg Kthxbai)

Saturday 14 November 2009- Triceps

I felt strong today so decided to try a max single on close grip. Possibly not smart but the old ego needs a stroke every now and again. The good news is that I hit a big PB. 190 KG. I am pleased with that. The journey continues.

Close grip bench- 60x10x2, 80x8, 100x5, 120x5, 140x3, 160x1, 180x1, 190x1

Animal strength bro, good job! You Silverback Gorilla from way back :wink:

Thanks Tonka. Hey bro what do you do shoulders? I feel relatively weak on my shoulder pressing movements. Any thoughts on this from the master? :)

you may still feel weak on shoulders but in the time iv been at eastside iv noticed a definite size and definition increase in your delts so something must be working :)

Hey Doc, during season I keep it pretty basic. Mainly do Behind the neck or front presses (seated and standing) with lots of rear delt assist work. During off season I maintain the presses + the rear work but add DB lateral/fronts/up rights rows to condition the shoulder (back to basics doing a more bodybuilding type train).

Keep hitting them like you are bro, the weight will come up.

are you gonna do a single for squat and deadlift this week?

that would be cool.

Hey bro. I'm looking to get 200 kg in the upcoming Eastside Raw Open on 28 November. It is a 3 lift competition so I will also so a max squat and deadlift on the day.

I'm going to do a max effort tonight on the giant cambered bar and also deadlift so I will let you know.

Monday 16 November 2009- Posterior Chain

Less than 2 weeks to go. Decided to do a max effort on giant cambered bar squats off the box tonight. Used 40 kg of chain weight and worked up to a single on 290 kg plus the chain weight. Bit of guessing but it would be close to 330 kg at the top. I can tell you that it felt heavy. My set up was horrible so once I got into position it wasn't a bad effort. There is a vid floating around so I will see if I can get that up tonight Rose. :)

After that I did a few deadlifts with the giant bands. Again emphasising the top of the movement. Next week I will deadlift first up and do a squat of some sort after this.

Giant cambered bar box squats- 60x8x2, 100x5x2, 140x5, 140+40kg of chains x3, 180+40kg of chains x1, 220+40kg of chains x1, 260+40kg of chains x1, 290+40kg of chains x1

Deadlift- (all sets with giant bands)- 70x3x2, 120x3, 170x1, 210x1

Glute ham raises- 4 sets

Stiff leg deadlifts- 60x6, 100x8, 140x5
