**Good volume and intensity today. Haven't done close grip pulldowns and dumbbell rows since the start of the year, so they were a bit light. I planned to go heavier than 160 today on rows but didn't feel like it. Still a PB.

Sweet front squats 8)

Thanks steak. Still getting used to them. Might do them first in a couple of weeks and try and go heavier.

The boys went to BK for our weekly cheat meal after today's training. Anyway the challenge has been lay down for December 5th, Eastside Barbell 100m dash. Between Alf (Best Bench), Craig (Dr Squat) and myself. It has definitely been in the making for a few months, been brought up a few times and a bit of trash talk thrown round between Craig & I about who has the wheels.

Alf has the weight advantage weighing in at 83-84, Craig at 104-105 and myself around 122-123 although that should come down soon. Alf is the in form one at the moment, played rugby on the wing this year. Last time I really did any running was on the wing for Nelson Bays, 3-4 years ago and 40kg ago. Craig has a sprinting background and held his high school record, also played in the junior kiwi's, but that was a long time ago :pfft:

They're both old and crusty living in the past, I'm backing my youth to take out this one, not going to do any training so they have a chance

LOL!! sorry mike but i think leightons got this one in the bag :P

He's top heavy, maybe if you could run on your hands he'd have a chance. Nah, I'm taking the piss. I have no idea how quick the two oldies will be. I'm sure if there's a masters division they'd both do pretty well :pfft:

I think I could walk it and win, you two won't make it 100m! Doc might have a chance if there is a whopper burger sitting at the finish and odds are you will get a bleeding nose after 20m.

I only wish I had eyes in the back of my head so I could see how much you guys are suffering as you watch me disappear into the distance (perhaps I will run backwards).

Week #55 - 12/10

Monday - 12/10

Hamstrings/Lower back with Craig & Jack - CSPC 5:00pm

Giant Camber Bar 15" Box Squats 2x60x8 100x6 140x6 180x5 200x5 PB 220x2

Chain Suspended Good mornings 60x8 100x6 120x6 140x4

Conv. deadlifts 2x70x6 110x6 160x5 200x3 240x4

Lying leg curl 20x10 4x30x10

Standing abs 48x10 2x54x10 36x15

**No energy today, felt pretty average. Might be just getting used to the lowered carbs. Belt fit looser today though, guess that is a plus side. We are going to deadlift second next week I'll probably add a belt as well. Belt helps we quite a bit on deadlifts because my lower back is still a glaring weak point.

I think your raw strength has improved out of site. I think they call it muscle maturity and it staggers me to think you are still so young but so strong and powerful. Sometimes you are a bit hard on yourself. Keep it positive mate. Your biggest asset is your brain and your mind power. Remember this raw volume training is all part of the steps towards that IPF Junior gold medals.
