Ya see, I turn my back on this place for a minute, and someone posts pics!

OMG - what a wonderful change you were able to achieve for yourself ! I'm with Steak, be proud of your feat, and kick the doubters to the kerb.

As for the hulking - train 'til you like the way you look, pause and re-set! But take no-one else's opinions into account. Not the ones who think gurls shouldn't have real biceps, not the ones who think you don't fit their vision of healthy or whatever.

Yup i think thats a healthy attitude to take, i'm really not too paranoid bout hulking and i'm quiteeeeeeeee a way off even beginning too so meh, i'll just keep doing what i love.

Just saw/searched for  your pics. Huge effort in that short ammount of time. Be proud  You look great

 I wouldn't say it was *that* shorter time... most people expect to loose like a kg a week, i definutly didn't. But time was never that important to me, as long as i was doing all that i could do.

Lol thank you kindly Sir :salute:

:madman: :madman:

 Good photoshopping skills there buddy ol' pal. Pity its the wrong journal and face.

Sundays Training: Legs

• Cardio: 5 mins treadmill max incline at 6.5kmph

• Squats 15x4 @50kg, 12x4 @55kg, 12x3@57.5 kg, 10x3@60kg, 9x3@62.5kg  woot (although not squatting that deep at this weight)

• Lunges 10kg x30ish

• Leg Press 121kg 12x2

• Mountain climbers 2x 30

• Push ups 12x2

• Leg extension 70kg 9x4

• Glute machine 68kg 15x3 (each leg)

• Hip adduction 80kg 10 x 4

• Hip abduction 80kg 10 x 4

I should probably note (if its not already obvious enough) I got a little carried away and spent about 25 mins squatting and skipping inbetween each set for like 30secs-1 min. Why? :shifty: Ummm I blame excessive energy from protein cookie testing and having had actual normal amounts of sleep lately. I think i'm officially in love with skipping though as my cardio source  beats boring treadmill and cross training hands down and keeps the heart rate right up.

Sundays Diet

M1: teax2, grapefruit, 3 egg whites

M2: salmon salad, tea

M3: my homemade protein cookies (dont ask how many... i had to taste test each of the 6 batches to perfect my receipe)

M4: tofu and veges

hahahahhaha

high squatting is one thing I have to rib people about, don't take it personally

mainly because most every jerk you see in the gym "squats" either one plate or three plates (never in between!) for reps that move about two inches.

as long as you're not doing that you're fine. a little high is OK

Only after boxing a flower

Ummmm whatt?

Skipping is the biz 8)

Damn straight! Wish i had discovered it earlier. Although... any kind of info on how bad it is for your joints, i.e, compared to the evil that is running? I suppose your never doing it for as long so it probably could never have even slightly as damaging effect.

Mondays Training: Shoulders/Abs

• Cardio 1: 5 min HIIT cross training

• Front raises 12kg 8x4

• Side Delt Raises 10kg 8x4

• Rear delt flies 60kg 9x4

• Shoulder press (machine) 50kg 9x3

• Push ups 15x4

• Ab crunches (on sb) 30x3

• Side plank 90 sec holds each side x 2

• Leg raises 12x3

• Cardio 2 : (as well as skipping inbetween sets) 15 mins max incline treadmill

Mondays Diet:

M1: 3 egg white spinach and tomatoe omlette, coffee

M2: 150g tuna, veges, tomato soup

M3: 50 g jerky, protein cookie, tea

M4: bbq chicken, salad, 1/2 salmon steak

M5: tea, protein cookie, strawberries and melon

Tuesdays Training: Back-Triceps

• Cardio: 5mins treadmill HIIT running, 15 mins HIIT cross training

• Db Bent over rows 20kg x5

• Lat Pulldowns 42kgx4

• Inverted row 15x4

• Negative Wide-grip pullups - woops, skipped

• Tri Extensions 12.5kg x6

• Tricep dips 8x4

• Push ups 13x4

Tuesdays Diet:

M1: 4 egg whites, 1.5 protein shakes, 3/4 cup trim milk :shifty:

M2: 150g salmon, salad

M3: 1/2 protein bar, 50 g jerky, teax3

M4: rice risotto (evilevilevilevilcarbs), fish and salad

M5: Strawberries, pavalova and tiny amount of cream...

Omg why am i obbsessed with protein at the moment. Its like I can never get enough. This morning i've had over 45grams which is shit loads for me. Does rather intense Doms make you crave it more? :? or i'm just a pig... i think thats more likely explanation.

I skip for 30 mins non-stop at 150 rpm. My joints are fine. I only do it once a week at the moment, but last year skipping was my cardio of choice, up to 40/45 mins at times. Do you skip on your toes? "Make sure to land on the padded portion or balls of the feet to avoid knee injuries." Engage your arse. Oh and I mostly do alternating feet styles, only do double foot jump a few times for maybe a min each time, to break up the 30 mins, as I find it jiggles the moobs too much. As with anything, once you get past a certain point it doesn't really hurt anymore

What do you mean by alternating feet style? :-s I know what you mean about doing-the-moob-jiggle, i try and ignore that by not going too close up to the mirror :pfft:

Heh, yep, serious. Dunno aye, thinking about it, I got into it years ago, didn't belong to a gym and didn't run. Skipping was cheap, I only needed a rope and I could do it at home. Last year I used it to mix things up as I got sick of running on the street (posers, rain), and being a lab rat on a treadmill/crosstrainer or whatever at the gym. And it's quite meditational :shifty: Zone out city. It's great for your arms and calves

Good rope is a must. Not expensive, I just mean a rope cut to your height, and plastic rather than fabric. Wrong music kills it completely for me too, so I listen to washing machine oonst oonst stuff at 150bpm to keep zee tempo so I can zone out.

Re moobs/mirrors, I don't skip in the gym itself cos it's mostly carpet, so I skip in the concrete carpark outside the door (private basement, not public :pfft: ). The double foot jump jars moobs more and is pretty intense to maintain for looong periods of time.
