:pfft: I once took in a can of tuna with some cornthins to the movies. Its damn hard to eat in the dark! Not to mention the "Ewww, can you smell that?" coming from the seats behind me while I was eating it

Tuna or chopchop has gotta be better than a choc-covered kapiti ice-cream, but where would the fun be in that ?

Admire the dedication, major kudos to you :notworthy:

Well, since they stopped selling the ginger and lemongrass flavour at Paramount I'm no longer tempted! Hubby had a choc covered lemon meringue pie flavour last night, and I admit to eating a teeny bit of choc (like half a cm squared, really small!) that had fallen off when he asked me to hold it for him - but I didn't steal a big bite like I normally do! But I'm not huge on icecream, so that wasn't so difficult.

I do admit to eating a bit of cheese yesterday when I was making our quesadillas :naughty: I used to always make them with cheese, and we'd cut them in half and share one at a time while the next one cooked. But now that I'm staying away from cheese I make ours seperately, his with cheese and mine without - but a lump of cheese fell off (and into my mouth) while I was grating - mmmmmmmm cheese!

Quesadillas sin queso... hmmm, how does that work ?

I reckon they're fine without cheese. When I make them with cheese, most of the cheese oozes out in the griller anyway, so I just get a much less messy quesadilla. I sometimes sprinkle a bit of that parmesan that comes in those sprinkle cans - but to be honest despite the fact that I'm a cheese addict, I still enjoy them without.

Just a bit of medium intensity cardio yesterday (30 mins) and abs.

Food:

1. oats, yog and PP

2. yog and PP

3. PS

4. Tuna/chickpea tortilla

5. PS

6. Beef stirfry, few noodles and lots of veges, then a giant lump of peanut butter while I was making a PB wrap to take with me to the movies tonight. That kind of filled me up so I couldn't manage a pre-bed snack.

Back and biceps yesterday.

3 chin ups to start and 0 pull ups. Hadn't been on the chin assist machine for a while, so spent some time on there: wide pull up assist 25kg 8/8/6. narrow chin assist: 20kg 1x6, 25kg 8/8/6

Lat pulldowns 33kg 12/10/10/8/8

Seated cable rows 35kg 1x8, 28kg 4x12 (I've got a bit of a twinge at the moment, so taking it a bit easy on the weights)

EZ bar curls 5kg 10/10/10/8/6

Hammer curls 5kg 12/10/10/10/8

Might need to substitute my Sunday back and biceps workout for something else this week til this twinge rights itself. I noticed it after last Sunday's workout - well, not right after, but in the afternoon, so not sure at this stage if I did something wrong while working out, or if it's something caused by my new desk at work which is really annoying me ergonomically.

Food:

1. oats, yogurt, PP

2. yog and PP

3. PS

4. PS and lots of fruit

5. salmon, corn, cottage cheese wrap x 2 and a PB wrap (was super hungry!)

6. PB wrap at the movies

Shoulders today. Was inspired by Vampire Chick's 10kg db shoulder presses and can now do them - but don't think I can reach the lofty heights of 12.5kg just yet!

Lat raises 5.7kg 1x8, 4.5kg (there weren't any 5s around) 10/10/8/8

A bit pathetic really.

Food so far:

1. oats, yogurt and PP

2. yogurt and PP

3. PS

4. Tuna wrap and PS (super hungry after my pathetically weak workout - go figure!)

5. Whatever is on offer at the protein shake happy hour

6. Pork goulash

7. Probably some cottage cheese

Was it your triceps or shoulders giving out?

My whole body to be honest! Although I did 10kg shoulder presses last week, just lifting the 10kgs up made me feel tired so i only attempted the 9kgs. Mind you, I was doing more reps than usual, so I guess that's part of it.

Do you go to the movies every week? You're lucky! What have you seen this week?

Nah, just in July - with Bruno and Harry Potter opening, plus the NZ Film Festival I've been a lot lately. So in the last week I've seen Harry Potter on Sunday, a film fest one called Moon on Tuesday and another last night called Che (which was actually 2 films back to back abut Che Guevara). Tomorrow I'm off to another called Mary and Max, then two more on Sunday (one about Coco Chanel and another called We Live in Public) - phew!

The rest of the year I hardly go to the movies at all, though you'd think I was a movie junkie with all the ones this month. But it's a bit of a mix of ones I want to see and ones I'm going to with hubby.

Oh man I really wanted to see the Coco Chanel one but it sold out. I was hoping it would come through work for a free screening but it was cross rated :(

I reckon it'll come out on general release pretty soon since it's been so popular.

Even my wife wanted to see the Coco one - she settled for 'The September Issue' last weekend and the Valentino one this coming Wednesday.

I really enjoyed the September Issue - very funny!

I'm also going to the Valentino one on Wednesday afternoon - at least I hope so, as it's non-bookable and on at 4pm. Reckon I'll go down there first thing and get tickets so I don't miss out. I'm even rearranging my week's gym workouts around it, as I can't skip out of work at 3.30 and also have a long lunch for the gym, so Wed will be my rest day instead of tomorrow. I'm finally going to see what Bodyworks is like on a Saturday morning-ish.
