ok so back into training properly today

did shoulders + bench

bb flat bench

60x20

80x8

100x5

110x8

110x8

110x7 ..... started feeling weak about here

100x8

standing shoulder press bb

4 sets

seated side raise

3 sets

behind head press

4 sets

rear delts

2 sets

mean pump

was going for 110x8x5 on bench but didnt have it in me today, will be benching 2 times a week for the next few months

started low carb yesterday to cut down for summer - beauty of a day here so about time i shed some fat and got ready for beach weather

goal for end of year is to get down to 95 at 12% or under. currently around 100 at 16-17 (estimate) will buy some calipers and do it properly soon.

havent lost strength on bench thats always been my weak point.

training legs 2mo for the first time in 2 months so no doubt lost strength on them though, havent done any cycles this year tom.

yes he has, but i thought he was benching alot more and had lower bodyfat before... i always get these cats confused anyways.

you would be correct on the bodyfat, lots of takeaways and no training = me at my fattest in a long time

so today i trained legs

bb squats

40x12

leg ext

3 sets of 12 reps

leg curl-seated

3 set of 15 reps

leg press

1 setx20reps.... legs had mad shakes by now.

standing calf raise

4 sets

was quite pleased with how this went as first time training them in a while

squats felt good, the 140 was really easy but didnt want to overdo it, during the first set of 120 and all the sets after it felt like all the fibers in my quads/hams/glutes were tearing apart had a stretch for a few mins after training but its hard enough to walk now gonna be bloody sore 2moro :twisted:

does anyone have cheat meals or a cheat day when dieting ? if so how often.

Yeah bro Ive always liked to have a cheat"day" once a week not meaning eat pizza all day but allow yourself bigger portions of the good food and maybe a little extra carbs on that day.

I find it helps keep your mind focused and keen otherwise around weeks 6 you will want to shoot yourself or your misses more likely :pfft:

Also I think better to have the shit food "if you choose to" one day a week keeping the other six clean rather than 3 gingernuts or 6 every night.

ask yourself do you deserve a cheat meal? and also are you doing it for metabolic reasons or cheating to satisfy your mind?

after your answer those honestly in your head you will know.

yup ill decide on sunday if i deserve one depending on progress.

notes :

chest only felt about 80% recovered today so weights were down a little, will be alternating light/heavy bench days from now on. pleased with volume but maybe some more free weights and less machines next week.

been having mean sleeps due to the carb cutback, getting hunger pains but am eating pretty often so they havnt been too bad yet.

When can i take you for legs son?

gimme a few weeks freek, needa get a bit of strength and endurance back in them first still bloody sore from tuesday.

just recording weights on paper.
