Bodyfat Storage question. HELP.

Recommended Posts

I was gonna put this in the Ladies forum, but seeing as some of you are trainers with female clients, you might be able to help me out...

I have stubborn lower body fat, with my main storing areas being the lower back/hips and glutes.

I'm dieting at the moment, and while I can get significantly leaner in my upper body (I'm talking bout striated shoulders, abs popping out etc), my lower body takes a LONG time to show improvement. I'm pretty sure if I dieted down to 40kgs, I'd look like a rake, but with a fat ass dry.gif

I'm asking if anyone knows a smart/specific way I can target my stubborn body fat while still preserving LBM in my upper body confused.gif

Or do I just need to put up with my shitty genetics and keep dieting?

my experience is put up with shitty genetics and keep dieting. are you taking any thermos? I had the same thing happen in my first comp. and the arse and legs were the last to shift.

Got Fahrenheit, but only because I've had realy good results with other Biotest products. This one however doesn't seem to be doing much!

It is mostly down to genitics, but in saying that if you are very lean elsewhere as you say there are a few things you can try.

Drop any soy, gluten and dairy products for a month and see if that helps, it can be a very mild food alergy that is keeping fat/fluid there.

Walking treadmill lunges, set the treadmill on an incline and a very slow speed and complete deep walking lunges as you would in the carpark but without weight, squeez out of the bottom with glute and quad. Do this working up to 100continuous lunges followed by 100 walking calfraises and repeat aim to get to 1000of each :P

Lastly and leaning more towards the dark side you could try a fat mobiliser, syhthetek do one that apparently is very good, it is systemic (non spot reducing) but will help to mobilise stubborn fat. It is injectable compound water suspension so if your scared of needles this is not for you. It is 100% legal and is no problem with customs and shipped from a supplier in Australia.

Perfectly normal for a woman Poos. Always the last areas to go. For comp prep the last month is peeking at your ass every day thinking shit is it smaller and tighter or what? Remember you see yourself everyday, others will notice more changes, and do your measurements!! It does go through diet, fat burners, weight training and cardio. You'll see it all go in 3 months continuing as you are without the booze fests and big pig out sessions haha

My hubby always says to me "you can't drain the deep end of the pool before the shallow end".

I was just watching a Jenny Lynn DVD and she has the same problem getting the lower half of her body lean. She was doing some crazy cardio, with a lot of track work...running then sprinting, shuttle-type runs, up and down the stadium stairs etc. She didn't have any problems with size on her legs but had to hit them hard with lighter weights and giant sets. You are certainly not alone Poos :D

Thanks everyone!

Frogie: Nah, no thermos at the moment. I think I'm sitting around 21-22% Bodyfat (upper may be around 19% though), so I'm thinking thermos prolly won't do much for me right now..?

Irongame: Excellent! I've never thought about bloating/allergies to certain foods could hold up the fatburning process. As for the walking lunges... omg, you sick, sick man lol2.gif But hey, if its worked for others I'm game to try!

Verrrry interesting.. might look into this

Biggurl: Thanks for the reassurance chick. And yess, no more alcohol redface-1.gif

Manu: Nice to know I'm not alone! The Jenny Lynn DVD sounds interesting.. after reading your comment, I did a search on her on youtube.. she looks fantastic  Some great ideas for cardio.. cheers!

Seeing as nolvadex binds to the estrogen receptor and doesn't necessarily suppress estrogen production, I don't really see why or how it could mess you up hormonally.

I had assumed PnW was looking for a non-steroidal option. Putting that aside though, remember PnW is female. Wouldn't an estrogen blocker just give her all the lovely side effects of menopause?

 but this thread's taken an interesting turn.. and hell YES I love side effectz lol.

It just sounds too simple, the concept that estrogen is what 'causes' women's lower body fat, and hence block the estrogen, solve the problem.. must be more to it :?

I noes my stubborn fat is estrogen mediated, but it seems that tamoxifen is a selective drug (agonist in some tissues, antagonist in other tissues). There doesn't seem to be alot of research on it with females and strength training :(

But I'd definitely be keen to hear about any wimmenz experiences with it

on this note are there any non AAS options? any ideas i have heard of some "anti E" sups like 6-oxo????

Who mentioned an AAS option???

I know a few woman also who use nolva pre comp and they are otherwise natural, they have not noted any sides or rebounds.

You could always start smoking, nicotine has anti e effects lol

NOTE: please dont do this :pfft:
