Thanks :) ... now I just have to test the "won't-power" for a coupla weeks living out of a suitcase.

And I have only one problem...

DARK. CHOCOLATE. PEANUT. M&Ms.... I'd never seen 'em before but in the first airport I got to, there they are in their purple packets, taunting me!

But I shall resist!

0500 - 46m cardio, 450cal... and happiness, hotel gym's finally got some dumbbells (all they used to have was one miserable stack machine)..they stop at 20kg, but that's better than nothing.

Real good progress so far bud, keep it up 8)

As one of the unlucky ones that also started my annual diet, I have a similiar problem. After about 2 weeks of no bread, muffins or other pastries I can't dare go near a bakery as the smell of the freshly baked bread just about hypnotizes me and I get this uncontrollable urge to jump in there and start buying all the no-no's. Just writing about it make my mouth water

Alas your not alone in the struggle to resist!

Wah! Was at the airport last night, flying from A to B as you do, and decided to try the evil dark-choccie peanut M&Ms - and none of the airport shops had them... regular ones, peanut ones, and almond ones, but none of the dark choccie ones, and now they're out of reach :(

Still, I just checked into another hotel and this one will deliver an exercycle to my room if I can't be assed to walk up to the gym - one less excuse I can trot-out.

So, better go do something about it!

Sunday 5 Oct

0700 - cardio, 45m elliptical, 550cal

(retrieves laundry from hotel washing machine, puts it in dryer)

0745 - bis n tris

DB curls - 10x 12kg, 8x 14kg, 6x 18kg, 12x 14kg

Cable curls - 10x 4 plates, 8x 5 plates, 6x 6 plates, 12x 4 plates

Tri press-down - 10x 4 plates, 8x 5 plates, 6x 5 plates  12x 4 plates

Bench Dips - feet out: 10x, 12x, 13x, 14x, 15x.

(retrieves laundry from dryer)

Hotel's got great gear, two Life-Fitness ellipticals, treadmills n recumbent bikes, a Concept2 rower and dbs up to 20kg, plus a stack machine that looks like it has some good options. :)

0900 - brekkie...the most yummy scrambled eggs I've had in a loooong time. Musta been too much butter or something, but OMG. So, i'll be walking most of the day to off-set that!

Only problem with that plan is that I'm in London England now, and it's absolutely pouring with rain....and cold. It'd be a shame to waste a Sunday (my only day off before I fly home) doing nothing, but I may as well take the shampoo with me 'cos I'm gonna get soaked the moment I step out the door

The English don't seem to understand about M&Ms, so yes P&W, the diet gods are indeed smiling on me... :D

Still Sunday 5th...

Spent most of the day walking off breakfast, in the rain! OMG London's expensive - was at Camden Markets and a hot spiced apple-juice (the girl had given up making smoothies because the weather was so bad!) cost $NZD 7.50, served in a styrofoam cup from a billy-full boiling on a gas stove!

Must have covered a fair few miles, tho - made up for that yummy breakfast. Going to go do a chest workout now, maybe log a little more cardio - from what I've seen so far, this town just doesn't get 'low-fat' cuisine!

Lol - your not wrong TFB. On my last trip to London I put on 4kg (def wasn't muscle!). I was only there for 3 weeks!

Tuesday 7 Oct

0600 - chest

Flat DB press [warm-up 20x 14kg] 10x 18kg, 8x 20kg, 6x 20kg, 12x 20kg...wah, hotel gym doesn't go heavy enough

Flat DB flies 10x 14kg, 8x 18kg, 6x 20kg, 12x 20kg

Flat Cable Press 10x 5 plates, 8x 6 plates, 6x 6 plates, no idea what the weights are. Didn't like this, was using floor-based pulleys and was thinking I'd pop a shoulder on the set-up.

Press-ups 5x 10 reps

Cardio - 45m elliptical, around 450 cals on the Polar HRM, but nearly 600 according to the machine.

It's still HOSING DOWN out there... and all this talk of Subway biccies is making me wanna try them. Noooooo!
