My wife sits around 7-8% body fat and now that summer is here she hates wearing short or sleeveless tops when we go out. Even going to the supermarket she gets stared at and sly comments made behind her back from all kinds of people. For some reason people do not like to see women with muscles or just a bloody good body.

Nah - once again it will be a case of the "green-eyed monster" ... if the looks or comments are from a women she will be jealous of her (i.e. wishing she looked like your wife) - from a guy it will be that they are pissed off that their wife doesn't look like yours! :nod:

I agree with MT, girls/women get bitchy!

Funny thing is that I see 'Normal' guys without much muscle mass, who are probably attractive and all but they just look inferior, I'm just used to it now I guess, each to their own :roll:

But I think most people are scared of the way Body Builders look, they are uneducated and Media tends to give the sport a bad wrap.

I do think that some (not all) women couldn't handle a BB Boyfriend with all the time dedicated to the gym, eating and following a regimented plan - same is true for some guys... Jealous of the time you spend away from them, with the possible threat of being around guys training. Personal experience.

Yeah I think our perspective of whats "attractive" to us has changed. Back in the day I used to like the "surfie" type beachbody look, but after getting into weight training and whatnot, I appreciate how much work goes into getting a muscular physique and am more attracted to that now. Most male models in sportswear brochures are crazy.gif

Oh, and seeing guys deadlift and squat properly with great form is hot ninja.gif

So true - just seeing a heavy training session and the effort is hot!

That and who wants a guy you can out lift? And I don't even lift all that heavy (even for a girl).

lol its usually on the way to town when we go out with the boys and its everyo0ne in the car who starts yelling, bit immature u might say but u gotta keep yourself amused somehow when your in the car, and giving random ppl frights is quite amusing :pfft:

and the ladies on this thread should calm down abit, luckily yr all behind computer screens huh :pfft:

ever since i have joined this new gym (westwave fitness centre) all i seem to get is weird looks from members, it really pisses me off especially when you catch them staring at you and you give them a wave and they just totally ignore you or turn away.. are people just pricks? or what? do others have this problem? or have experienced it before?

this isnt just the members but the staff there aswell.

Yes I had this problem myself a few times, so now Ive decided to work out with my clothes on. :wink:

Yip it is good to know. It has been said before that a lot of women don't like guys with too much muscle, I think that it is because a lot of the time the are just bulky and not cut. I'm sure most women would like a guy that is cut no matter how much muscle he has IE the more the better! :nod:

Plus what we're saying is very tame considering some of the comments the girls on this site get... And credit where credit is due - Body Builders show they have a great combination of detirmination, dedication, mental strength (all great characteristics) mixed in with a certain amount of vanity and healthly ego. See it's not just the hot body

You must be looking in the wrong place. I love muscles. My husband is a P/L and (to me) he looks awesome compared to a scrawny 75kg dude with no muscles, strength or definition. (sorry to the 75kg dudes)

True! And a lot of girls don't appreciate what it takes mentally and physically to look like that.
