2.5L is the amount im drinking today. Bout a litre left. Starting to feel low on energy now. Just having basically no complex carbohydrates.. Doesn't feel good reminds me of the bodybuilding days and why I hated it/never did it properly/quit before I'd even started lol. So I got thoughts running through my head that how can I possibly lift well when I feel like this 2 days out. But I just gotta trust the process and try my hardest to make weight 10am Friday so I don't have to come back at 12 noon to re-weigh. If I'm a kilo or so over I will wait till 12 noon depending how wrecked I feel. Iv just finished my last training I weighed at my gym mid arvo at 108.0 in clothes. I had those scales calibrated so I'll take those home on thurs night. My home bathroom scales weigh me in at 109.9 lol. So yeah. I drink 1L tommorow then turn the taps off at lunchtime. I think  I'll probably be in the 106s naked first thing tommorow morning which will be perfect.

If I get my weight right, if I squat and bench close to my PB lifts on those and if the judging is fair then yeah I can win. I'm going to try and win but I'm not going to hurt myself. If I'm beaten after squats because I havnt squatted well which is a probability because I havnt squatted very well in training then I'm smart enough to admit defeat and not take a chance of hurting myself on bench press. Then go back to gym and make a new plan for nationals. I have a strategy though. Hamish probably cutting weight now too that I given away that I am, which doesn't bother me I wanted to log it.

I'll know after squats if I can win or not.

Yeah bro absolutely agree.

Ive run the numbers and since you have cut weight it will absolutely come down to where we we at after squats.  I've decided not to cut much weight as I'm chasing the big total rather than a big gloss score.

If if you can come in 20kg lighter than me then it gives you a huge advantage on total.  Throw Dale in the mix who is capable of anything really and it will be a cracker of a comp!

Things are on target. I feel good this morning. Got 1L of water to drink before lunchtime today. I'll weigh myself tonight and then decide what I'm going to do from there on in.

Did you filter your feet bro? haha

Weighed myself in at 8.30pm and was 104.7kg. This is ok considering the whole drop so far has been from water and carb depletion. So I'll wear a lot of clothes to bed tonight and wake up around 3am and start the baths. I got 6kg of Epsom salts I'll use most of those tommorow morning and save some for tommorow afternoon for rehydration. I'm going to pack my bag now and then go bed since I'm up early. Gotta leave Tauranga at 6am. This will give me time to go to les new Lynn and use the sauna if I need to before 10am weigh in. But hopefully I won't need to. I really hope I make weight, I have put a lot of effort in this week cutting back carbs and food and being hungry. Hoping to be in the 103s when I wake up then game on, the baths will be by far the most testing part of the cut. I'll only have water up to my hips, I don't wanna dehydrate my insides just my muscles and majority of muscle in legs so putting body under up to neck is pointless. I think you can achieve the same body temp rise being half in without overheating.

There is a Difference between overheating and dehydrating.

Gonna have real hot probably 10min in, 2-3min out then back in. I hope my scales are accurate. It'll be close!

I'm super interested to see how the rehydration goes. I've seen fighters do it many times but not so many lifters and I remember when all the bodybuilders were doing plasma expanders. Good effort suffering through the week man.

Thanks mate, I'm not going to use the plasmalyte stuff this time. I want a nurse to hook it up for me and show me what to do and what's what and she isn't around this week so I'll save it for nationals. I like to be shown things properly than wing it. It hasn't been an aggressive cut so don't think I'll need them. If I was trying to go to u95 then yeah. The reason it's slow is because im trying to get just u100 in time for tmw morning if I wanted to and didn't care about what was optimal I could of been u100 right now. I think it's important people reading this understand that point. Not saying you don't bro.

anyway yeah I have a good protocol to rehydrate I think it'll be s good rebound.

101.2kg. right where i want to be. Well I have to say that cause it's time to leave lol. Should be in the 100s by time I arrive in west Auckland and if time and traffic is good to me I can zip into the sauna at les mills. If not I'll hit the bike at miada. Feeling really good, plenty of energy. Game on

Intense cutting bro, sounds like you know what you are doing though. Have you calibrated your scales against comp scales? I got some scales and took them into Powerhouse and they were adding 200g so I wrote on the scales to -200g and that should be near enough.

Keen to see how you get on, all the best!

Nah i havnt done that mate they are just a cheap digital supermarket scale. So hopefully they are weighing me over lol. I'll find out at 10am. It is what it is, if I don't make it then I know I could have if I was in Auckland with a bath available i.e a motel. Because I could still be in the bath right now but I got out of it 2.5 hours ago because I live in Tauranga. Thanks bro I'll let you know.
