Impressive form with a big weight. Nice work.

Thanks mate. Those are probably right on the money as far as depth in comp goes any higher id fail it but any lower is just a waste of energy. Iv been guilty of going way deeper than need to in the past and its pointless. Especially when everyone else Squats higher than this in comp. I want to win not be known for squatting the deepest. Couple weeks ago 235x3 was a max set so to get 220x8 on Monday and this triple yesterday just shows I'm building back up my strength from the big hypertrophy block I did and getting used to the bastard knee wraps again.

Thurs 25/02

Warm up

bench

barx20, 60x10, 100x10, 120x5, 140x2, 150x1, 160x3x5

add sling shot

160x3, 170x3, 180x3, 190x3, 190x0

machine flye

4x15

tricep push down

4x15

arm just gave way on the second set of 190kg in the ss. Just lost all my power and control a few inches from my chest and that was the end of bench today. While I was frustrated with that it's the heaviest I have been raw since my injury. So healing well all 3 sets of 160 felt great.

Squats tmw.

Not sure be somewhere round that can't remember..

Will take abit of time to get the big single back I think. For me 160 for reps is pretty light if I'm honest. I'm used to that weight. I'm used to being able to press 160 for at least one rep for longer than I can remember... like when it's passed out to you, you don't think "oh f*ck" like I do with 200. It's all just going to come down to my arm problem and how much I can train it. I'm strong enough to get over 200 will just depend if my arm lets me bring the bar down well. Pressing it up no problem. But when I loose feeling and control in the eccentric it greatly lowers the probability of getting the lift.

Fri 26/02

squat

60x10, 100x10, 140x5, 180x2, 200x1, 220x1, 250x1, 270x1, 285x0, 240x5, 210x4, 210x4

leg press

8ppsx3x12

leg ext

3x15

program was to 270x1. This went up pretty well so we decided to give 285 a nudge. Wasn't to be for a number of reason but no excuses. If I was strong enough none of them would matter anyway lol. Squat is improving every week so happy with it. Used the mono attachment today for the first time really and it take a little to get used to not to hit it coming up its got 200mm clearance from the bar when I unrack it to the cage so not a lot of room for error. Good to have all the lads from the gym spotting me and supporting me in the squats. Few staff changes at global which I think is good and hopefully brings some more enthusiasm and a better culture rather than staff just sitting on FB at front desk. Anyway starting to rant now. Got all my vids below

New monolift power cage attachment. This is my first time testing it out. Gonna start using it I think at least once a week anyway. Do a full video and write up on it in here later on

Who makes those attachments bro? Was it just a one off or are they keen to make more because I'm down to buy a pair if so.

Sure bro. A guy Alan kissick, he lives in the naki. Contact him on FB. See if he will do for you. Have to measure your rack/cage cause they made to measurement. Good piece of kit and cheaper than a mono.

Thurs 3/3

bench

175x1, 165x3, 165x2, 165x3

missed the 3rd rep on the 2nd triple. Arm just lost power. Sore as ever been and getting dangerous. You'll see if my vids when I'm near my chest the bar just drops fast that's cause I lose all control/feeling in my arm from my radial nerve. No good for tightness having it just drop. Super frustrating, been like this for over a year now. Contemplating surgery dependant on recovery and rehab time might go see specialist again.

Fri 4/3

squat

barx10, 70x10, 120x5, 170x5, 200x2, 220x1, 240x1, 260x4, 240x4, 220x4

pause squat

170x3x5

trained at crossfit gym tonight. Good for a change. Great bunch of people too. My fiancé goes there and really enjoys it. Anyway... Smoked the squats. Reckon I coulda got 5 or 6 on the 260 squat but wasnt in a cage just shitty free standing rack and didn't want to risk getting crushed. 4th rep was sweet though. That feeling of safety does wonders for my squat and bench knowing I got spotters, I'll be safe and can just remove failure from my mind. No leg press or extension so did pause squats instead

vids - 260x4
