Just add cardio. Walk up or round mount few times a week compared to like zero times per week once if lucky at moment. not a big deal but no point putting on weight for the sake of it. Not all weight is good weight. At nationals I was 105kg, at Rotorua I will be 109 and not as strong. Being abit fitter actually beneficial to being anabolic and being big and strong especially for recovery which carrys over to less injuries

Deadlift no straps to comp standard.

60x5, 100x3, 140x1, 180x1, 220x1, 260x1, 280x1, 300x0, 250x1, 250x1, 250x1, 250x1

First time deadlifting without straps since October so will take some getting used to I found my right hand (under grip) letting the bar slip out. Just need to make that raw pulling more often. 300 off floor fast and get to knees and fucked it up. Last prep I missed 300 in the week before nationals due to grip of u look back in my journal and wasn't an issue on the day. See what happens. Can't expect to be as strong as I was then though either I was well peaked and dialled in for that meet so not bothered.

Did some lat pull down, one arm db row and lying leg curl

As assistance today only couple sets of each.

do you ever switch which hand is your under/over for mixed grip in training?

i have always done left under right over and switching feels retarded so i dont really do it, heard about imbalance etc but never noticed anything

Ive just been playing with switching my grips over. Feels so weird doing it the other way to what im used too. I try do all my warm ups the 'wrong way' and then just do my working sets the same if i can but if it feels to weird ill just switch back.

 

 

Strong pulls though, whats your goal for the comp? around 700lbs/317.5?

I don't think I would get that bro that would be a 2.5kg PB. But that's crazy thing aboit comp day some people flop on openers others Smash their gym lift PBs. I'll do as good as I can. Max bench day tommorow, test out this elbow and then decide my attempts with wookie over the weekend.

i have video but cbf uploading to YouTube as dnt have app on phone. When can we upload videos straight from iPhone to forum. Thats would be the single most useful addition to forum and has never been done

I know... Every so often I go and look for a solution here, but there doesn't seem to be one. It seems like it would require some serious development work - basically you'd be recreating YouTube. And the bandwidth bill would be enormous. That said, I'll keep looking.

Friday 27th

Bench to comp standards (pause/lockout)

60x8, 100x5, 140x1, 160x1, 180x1, 190x1, 170x2, ss 170x8

Incline bb press

100x10, 100x10, 100x10, 100x10

Meant to do some squats also but going to do tommorow as elbow still on the mend and I don't want to over do it. 190kg paused is a pb was pretty smooth too, really happy with that to end the training week and finish on a high, that 200kg elite bench is looking good for June. Also dunno really where that came from as my pressing work has been really limited latley due to elbow. Have to put it down to the consistent ohp iv been training with good programming. Good benching

Saw a fulla on YT, he walks up to bar

Underhand on right, overhand grip on left arm

He kinda rolls his right ankle on an angle whilst thumb and first finger are finding

right position on bar then grips with remaining fingers. Sets up and pulls it. I assume it is too sync arms to legs. You do that bro or just bowl up?.

Nah bro don't have a plan that I follow but I tend to eat pretty consistently without doing it intentionally. Eat 2 muscle fuel meal a day, breakfast (pre workout), post workout, dinner. So I have 5 meals a day and eat stuff in between. Eat when I feel like it don't care bout body fat, got no abs atm. Don't care, strong is goal.

Pre very important imo food no pre workout shit

Intra I drink water don't like supp drinks

Post shake at gym, c/p/f meal when get home 30 min later.
