Pretty disappointed with the top set but I was sort of expecting it because my lumbar spine muscles were still fatigued and sore from Tuesday's deadlifts. I probably shouldn't have squatted at all today as my right SI joint felt sore afterwards.

Happy with the bench PB. I'm sure I could get 5 reps soon if I attempt it fresh. Also have pain in right elbow when performing extensions so I couldn't do any tricep pushdowns.

150kg xhalf. Had to ask a random guy for a liftoff and told him not to touch the bar unless I failed. Got down to chest, paused for a 2 count then started to press. The c*nt grabs the bar and pretty much deadlifts off me as soon as I start pressing. I was so mad. It felt pretty heavy and it would've been a slow rep but I wanted to do it on my own. Fucking hate training in a shit commercial gym with gay ass motherfuckers. Also right elbow giving me grief so I was even more frustrated

Nice lifts.  Guys in the gym should be made to go through a half day spotters course i reckon. They have no idea.

Squat went up to 250kg for an easy double today. Felt like I could've done 4 reps but I just wanted to test the waters today. Watched the vid of it afterwards and was happy with the depth and the speed of the squats.

Thinking these will be my attempts for next week, all subject to change of course

Squat 260/272.5/280

Bench 145/152.5/157.5 or 160

Deadlift 250/265/272.5 or 275

Gonna be making the 82.5s again. Current bodyweight 88.6kg in the morning

Did arms yesterday. Today did bench up to a paused double on 130kg then some external rotations. Will do back workout tomorrow then rest until Saturday. I'm a bit worried about my back cos it's been feeling sore the last couple of days and I'm thinking there's a possibility I could injure it if I max out on Saturday. If it doesn't feel better by Thursday then I'm gonna pull out of nats as my big goal is GPA worlds in 4 weeks.

Back's feeling better now although still a bit tight. Will have to be careful on Saturday and listen to my body.

Started my weight cut this morning. Weighed in at 87.9kg and target weight is 81.9kg (safety margin for 82.5kg class) so I have 6kg to drop in 26 hours. Had no food or drink since waking up and won't have anything until weigh-in tomorrow at 10am. Working from 9 to 7 today and I have no energy at all. Dying for a drink of water. Once I get home I'm gonna start sweating out in the bathtub. Not looking forward to it

As I said in my journal, was great to meet you mate. I saw all your 2nd and 3rd attempts, apart from 3rd deadlift which you didn't do. And I was so impressed. Just your age your still only so young you have a massive future if you can stay injury free and your bodyweight I kept forgetting you 18-20kg lighter than me. When you think about those two factors you gonna absolutely wreck it in years to come! that squat hamish said in other thread 270kg but it was 272.5kg. You push me to get my finger out my arse especially on squat.
