My body is fully nakered

You mean "knackered". The word is British - a knacker is "a person who buys worn-out or old livestock and slaughters them to sell the meat or hides." It used to mean a harness maker, or a saddler, but that definition is now largely obsolete.

Origin: 1565–75; knack (Dictionary.com!

Anyway... there's a bit of useless information to take your mind off things!

Well with only 3 more sleeps to go the excitement is finally starting to build up. was a lil worried there for a moment. Have definately started noticing changes in the appearance of my body. 1. that i am in dire need of a tan. and 2. that things are starting to tighten up where i really thought they wouldnt. i do have some concerns tho about my abs, or lack thereof. shy lil buggers they are, they refuse to come out...dang it! :(

Had my last weights training session this morning, and i must say, this week, despite not having any energy, was one of the best training sessions iv had. I really pushed myself (with the help of my partner, and a few princess moments) and i am now suffering from the pain to show for it.

We've started lowering my water intake and are on pure dew (no sodium), never realised how much water i usually drink in a day. Its weird having to ration it out, once you've cooked your porridge, coffee, hot choc at night your not left with much throughout the day. that will definately be interestng over the next few days, how attentive or less attentive i become as the water intake drops.

Beauty day today, woohoo, will be nice to get a massage, i so know im going to fall asleep tho haha. just hope i dont snore.

Looking forward to carb loading, but even more so the glass of bubbles once its all over.

Hope your last few days are going well. We'll be cheering you on at the night show! I know you're going to rock it up there!

Above all, soak up the atmosphere, and enjoy the experience, you are doing something so many people wish they could do. But for one reason or another don't pull it off! BE PROUD!

Best wishes :)

Thanks heaps chic. Feeling really low and lethargic at the moment. but hopefully this carb loading will change that. gosh its still very sureal to think how far iv come and now all this hard work has all boiled down to this one moment, the moment of truth. still not real.

Well was a very long day. Came 3rd in my class, which im ok about. didnt think i was anywhere in the same league as 1st & 2nd tho, they were definately alot smaller than i was. tall aswell. dammit! but it was fun none the less. not sure if il do nationals tho as i think what they're after is the taller leaner figures. so think the next comp will be nabba north harbour. but im still stoked with the results 3rd out of 6 aint bad for my first comp!

I had so much fun and im so proud of myself for getting up there and finally facing my fears, it was truly the most awesome feeling. so addictive! im hooked haha. only next time it'l be 1st place!

And a huge thanks to everyone for all your support. hope everyone who came had an awesome night!

I knew you'd love it!

Congratulations girl, you did so very well!

I knew you'd be the complete package, full of grace and poise, not to mention your bikini was fantastic, you did yourself proud.

I was annoyed that they didn't have you all run through your compulsory poses: The very short 'pose-down' didn't give an opportunity to compear you with the girls you were up against - knew we should have gone to the pre-judging, but I wanted to see your routine.

You should totally do NZFBB Nationals in October and then do NABBA North Harbour in November (should be close enough to hold form).

Enjoy your time off - rest & recover.

Thanks Evie. yeah well you would have been disappointd at the pre-judging too tho cos they didnt give us much time for comparison there etha i thought. it was all very very quick. they obviously had no trouble picking the places.

yeah havent fully decided yet, will give myself the week off and see what i think after iv heard what everyone else thinks, then make my mind up. just not sure il have a chance at nationals if what they are looking for is what the 1st & 2nd girls looked like. tall and slender (aka skinny). i just dont have 'skinny' in me. but we'll get a few opinions and see.

Congratulations TC, you looked very good and I’d say there wasn’t much between you and the 1st & 2nd place, If your thinking about doing the Nationals go for it your well and truly up to the standard

Good decision. You can definitely be competitive. Just be careful that by getting "smaller" you only become leaner, not emaciated. :)

Looking further down the track, have you considered doing a physqiue class? You've got quite a broad back and shoulders - I think you could do well.

  • 5 weeks later...

Hey Peeps,

Well much to my disappointment it looks as tho Nationals will be out of reach for me this year. We're coming into the peak time at work which means long days/nights so i wont be able to guarantee that i can work out twice a day. But im not too bummed bout it. i am gonna set a new goal (lifes all bout goals and challenges) and im gonna start a new journel focussing on my goals.

Goal

To lose 5-7kgs by 1st November

Get to body fat % of 12 and maintain this

Still be able to live life and be sociable

Increase overall strength and endurance, aswel as tone and small. We dont want to get bulky.

il start a new journel on Monday i think, so keep your eyes peeled. hehe.

Till then
