OMG What is it with working in advertising. Every dam day is the same. Same stuff different day. FOOD FOOD & more dam FOOD

Thursday was a nice big chocolate cake with marzipane icing YUM but i refrained, instead i took a piece home for my partner and watched him eagerly while he devoured it.

Aswell there was drinks and snacks of cheese, crackers, hummus, but not for me, no i had to eat my crappy old protein bar (BORE!)

and

Today is pancakes. We've just had a chef come in and cook us pancakes. i sit here trying to pretend i cant hear everyones moans of delight over how great they taste. BUGGER YOU ALL!!! :evil:

Good on you Top Cat, I know its bloody hard at times, just take a look at them they're probably all fat bastards!! It helps me to think like that when the going is tuff. I'm not a mean bugger but it just helps.

yeah havent ever thought like that, must try it. all i think bout is how good it must taste. But then they all moan about how unfit and wobbly they are.

oh so easy to get in a bad mood when your around people eating what ever they want. wankers! rubbing it in my face. :cry:

Geez, yeah I noticed that most work functions/meetings are centred around food (or maybe I just notice it more when I'm dieting shrug.gif) A trick I used was to imagine that something gross happened to the food before they ate it lol2.gif and in some twisted way it used to make me feel better ;)

Ah, the joys of dieting (and for the record - all I ever want when Im dieting is cookies. And snickers. And cake suicide.gif)

Alrighty..

Mood: A Hell of alot better than the previous 3 days. think its the weds break from weights. must be what the body needs.

Shoes arrived yesterday. Had a walk round the house in them last night, think the boyfriend was a lil excited to see stripper shoes. Dreamer. Didnt have any probs walking in them, but thats not where the problem lies, i reckon it'l be the blimmen posing that will cause a sprained ankle (fingers crossed that doesnt actually happen).

Noticed some changes in my appearance. Clothes feeling looser and my arms are starting to take shape. if i werent competing id be bloody happy with my figure, but because i am competing this isnt the case, i look at myself in the mirror and think 'what the hell am i thinking, theres no way im gonna be tight and taught like those previous women in time, im dreaming' and yet i still drag myself to the gym and slog it out. yay me or is this where i need someone to say 'yeah i just dont think your gonna be ready in time'. cos i sure as hell dont wana get up on stage and have people see/think 'oh dear who let her get up there?'

But my mood at present is good so im just gonna push those 'not so confident' thoughts to the back and keep trucking on...

I've kept up with a few pre-comp journals, and what you're going through is completely normal - the self-doubt etc. Its your first comp, so the unknown is pretty scary.. but you're doing great! I wouldn't focus too much on your progress from looking at the mirror 'cos you see yourself everyday and won't notice the subtle changes in your physique from day to day.. it can screw with your mind! And I'm with Pseudo - post some pics if you're after some constructive critique thumb.gif

Hey TC, I'm sure you'll be ready in time, but if you're worried about it, why not post up some photos for us to critique? Extra posing practise never hurt anyone, either! :wink:

Hey All,

Well have my nutrition appt tomorrow and im a lil nervous. specially after last weeks loss. will be hard to beat that. but we'll try (god loves a tryer)

Mood today is bout the same as its been all week, crappy. and to make things worse im on this weeks cocktail team....booooooO! so we're doing traffic lights and pink panthers..haha yeah right, that'd go down like a cold cup of sick round this place.

Its also Friday which is shared lunch day, and my team decided to get Thai, only my most favorite takeaway food ever. but i sat there with my smelly tuna and veg and used the previous mentioned method of thinking bad things had happened to their food haha. and it worked! :pfft:

Have posing practise tonight, and again tomorrow afternoon. Will be the first proper session in the stripper heels, so fingers crossed we dont gain any injuries. also getting some photos taken tomorrow too, so will definately post them on monday.

So until then......

Sorry no photos yet. Got them taken went to upload them and cant find the dang USB cable. GRRR. Whats more you cant buy the dam thing anywhere. stupid stupid stupid.

Needed a new camera anyways, so that enticed me to go shopping hehe. (any reason)

Weekend was great, had my nutrition appt and as expected results werent anywhere near last weeks, bummer! but still on track and thinking i might only have to get down to 12% woohoo. but we'll see as the weeks roll by.

Posing in shoes was a mish! my toes were so dang sore afterwards, not to mention my thighs from holding poses. random. So posing now 4 times a week, (need it).

So hopefully be able to post some pics tomorrw. sorry guys. :(

8) Very cool that you are still on track! Posing in the shoes takes work! I wear high heels alot, but it's different when you are holding poses! But good for you that you are practising, it makes all the difference on the day! Can't wait to see the pics!

Hey All,

Well as promised I have placed pics, in the pics forum. personally I hate them and its given me the boost I needed with the added bonus of stress. joy NOT.

Thought I wasn’t looking too bad, during my posing practice I thought to myself, yep yep we can do this, we’re on track, we’ll get there in time’ then I saw these dam pics. not impressed, they have shown me I have so much more fat to lose and WHERE THE HELL ARE MY ABS DAMMIT!’ :x

But im not going to let this get me down, oh no, this has made me want to train harder, I need it. I don’t want to get up on stage and come 4th. that simply wont be good enough for me. im not doing this so that at the end of it I can say ‘oh well least I gave it a go’ oh no, I want a bloody trophy.

Im not eating anything bad or out of plan, and iv even startd taking my dinner to work just in case I work past 6pm and have to eat it there then hit the gym.

Iv also started eating my porridge albeit somewhat luke warm, on the way to work (get stuck in traffic so what better use of my time) so that im eating when im suppose to rather than an hour late.

Workouts – Have changed things around and am doing weights in the mornings and cardio at nights, so we’ll know if this has helped anything when I go for my weekly weigh in on sat. :shifty:

Posing – Well this is starting to come together slowly and now I just gotta get my dang routine sorted. :?

All in all my moods during the day are not too bad. By night time im tired, grumpy and hungry so sleep is definitely a must. Feel sorry for my partner, who bears the brunt of my grumpyness.

oh lordy, need to write, to stop me from walking to the kitchen and shoving a handful of biscuits into my mouth. i am so dam hungry today, i even tried to spread my lunch out and eat it really slowly hoping id get full before i finished. not the case. then i thought id have a diet coke to curve my craving for anything edible, not the case. now im having a green tea and trying oh so hard to resist the urge to eat some twisties sitting on the table.

thought going through my head 'just suck them then spit them out' ohhhhhh so hungry. =P~

must make it 1 more hour...... :pale:

How did you go with the cravings the other day? If you ever come across the evil cravings again, try this -- feels like you're cheating but you're not ;)

PROTEIN CAKE:

1/3 cup of water

1 scoop PP (flavoured ones work best)

And microwave. (Could be anywhere between 30secs - 1.30secs depending on the brand of powder you're using) Watch for overflowing!

It turns into a little cake! Again, depending on the type of PP you use - some give a great cake-like texture whereas others can turn out a little rubbery :?. But you can eat it warm or pop it into the fridge for a little while if you want something cooler ;) I've even made slightly bigger ones and added berries into it and it turned out great.

The jury's still out on heating powder in the microwave, but this saves me from eating a kingsize chocolate bar or a whole freakin' chocolate cake :pfft:

ohhh PW that sounds like a go. thats the weird thing, recently all iv wanted are naughty protein things like pro crunch bars, or protein crisps or the real hi sugar protein bars. sucks! although the weekend gone was very very difficult.

Had a friends 21st to go to and they had triple chocolate cake with marzipane icing YUM! i just stared while everyone put it in there mouths, i crumbled. i got a thumnail size piece of marzipane and put it in my mouth DAMMIT! so spent yesterday making up for it at the gym. first weak moment in a while. bit gutted i gave in but i swear it wont happen again. :nod:

my body just seems to be hungry all the dam time, nothing seems to fill me up, not even drinking glasses and glasses of water. is this usual?

Had my weekly nutrition appt on the weekend and good results again. 820g fat loss and 1.2kg mass gain. So nutrition is staying the same.

Gotta work on my back more as it seems to be the only body part that doesnt look at toned as the rest of me. so gonna try a new training that was recommended by a friend, apparently it will kill me. Bring it on!

eeek order my bikini next week also, think that will make it so much more real, cos at the moment im just going through the motions.

OMG PW i tried this last night. used chocolate and banana (mixed) EAS 100% Whey, heated in microwave then i put 2 tsp of weight watchers caramel drinking chocolate mixed with some hot water over top, DE FREAKEN LISH!

Holy crap it was like a real choc sauce pudding. oh heaven! you rock!!!

My back workout is a KILLER. have sore muscles now, and i gotta admit i do love that feeling but i was near tears during the actual training session. Crocidile tears of course, but none the less was painful. Just goes to show i musnt have been working it hard enough. and i guess i sort of new that cos my back is the only part i cant see when training it, so you dnot see if your getting results like you do with chest or something. but yeah hopefully this pain pays off, as they say 'no pain no gain'

Hey All,

Well hope everyone’s long weekend was relaxing. Mine certainly was, although it felt like all I did was eat sleep and train. but cant complain, I rather enjoyed my nana naps in the middle of the day.

Had my nutrition appt on sat, and low and behold I have hit the proverbial plateau booooooo!

So we’ve dropped the cals to 1295 a day, 3 days on and 1 day of 1700 cals, then back to low cals. Have done the 3 days low and thank god they were over the long weekend cos I just needed a nap after every workout. but thankfully its my hi day today, first day back at work, hopefully that should get me through the low days coming.

Had my bikini fitting and selection etc on Sunday, hate it hate it hate it. forgot how hi you have to wear those dam things, oh felt so dam self conscious. so get that in a couple of weeks so will have to walk around in that for a bit to get use to it and stop picking it out of my ass! thank god for bikini glue is all I can say.

routine is coming along and posing is aswell. all in all its just final touches now, hardening up the muscles and trying to lose these last few stubborn kilo’s. just hate feeling so lethargic all the time. but only 4 weeks to go (a lil under). just gotta think ‘I can see the end, must….keep…going…’

Mood: Average to Poor

Feeling really lethargic. Missed my gym workout this morning, didnt have a very good sleep so decided to miss it and make up for it on Saturday. Havent had a morning off training for a while.

just feel so dang tired, this whole low calorie thing really SUX, i had better have some good results this week or else. im feeling really nervous and scared that if i dont get the results we're aiming for then im not doing this dam competition. The self doubt is not so much in my ability but more what i look like. i know iv been training hard and eating right but i just dont feel like its doing anything.

Coffee is my friend. Chewing gum and diet coke are right up there too.

Have been very quiet at work, just keep my head down and working. Everyone has noticed a change in my moods, at least they are being good bout it, and have even stopped asking me if i want anything from the tuck shop.

only 23 days to go.... :?
