OK I guess it's about time for a picture update, taken today, in the morning, not very good quality at all, strange angles and blurry.

Posing for pics was done very quickly as the battery on the camera was running out - I know excuses! :P

Workouts going well, I prefer morning training to evening, but to fit in cardio in the morning 3 times a week I have to train in the evening those days and get what ever else cardio I can either at lunch time or after work Blaaah

Diet going well, increasing protein and decreasing carbs, but keeping cals within range.

Moods are up and down, but not extreme, more just tired and frustrated at times, but don't seem to last too long.

First things first - thanks all you guys who said really positive things! Stuff like that can really turn a bad day around! :D

I'm still doing 'my thing', diet is getting the worst of me mentally and am exhausted at the end of work outs - cardio seems to be such a chore too (but that's more about finding time to fit it in).

My work is suffering a little – I have no motivation some days and really can’t be all that bothered, all I think about is training, eating, cardio, sleep (rinse and repeat) and not all in that order.

Lowered my carbs a bit more, but that's meant that I have, on more than a few occasions used it as justification to eat more protein, extra fish, more chicken, another protein shake … ahhhh bad! Increase of protein has made for some rather uncomfortable bloating too – not good for mental state.

Had my BF tested and I have maintained all my muscle and lost more fat again which is good but the scale doesn’t move much – and at the end of the day I do need to make a weight class.

It’s not all bad, some work outs have lead to personal bests with weights and reps – I suspect it may be to do with splitting heavy low rep days with light high rep days – that and being angry at myself sometimes, but hey what ever works.

I still have things I can do to improve over the next few weeks; I will totally eliminate any processed foods in the next 2 weeks including my beloved Protein powder and also up up up the cardio! Oh yeah baby love that.

Posing improving although is a tough work out at the best of times. I’m leaning my routine this weekend so that will be a big focus I have to make time for too!

Have started planning tanning sessions, hair appointments, nails etc and how I will fit it all in over the last few weeks and Bikini is being made now too.

I am having a lot of self doubts especially about loose skin, and stretch marks etc – oh and the fact that my legs are still carrying a lot of size (I’m just hoping in the final lead up it will all come together) lucky for me there are some very positive people in my life who are noticing changes in me and commenting so that lifts me up and I guess I’ve come this far, I won’t know the end result until … you guessed it … the end.

Ok that’s all for now.

:)

Things (food) I love that is keeping me sane - well as sane as can be.

Weight Watchers Jelly - 36 cals per pk / 0 fat / 1g Carb / 8g Pro

Smoked Chicken (we do our own on the BBQ)

Smoked Fish

Venison - Best red meat, Low fat!

Sugar Free gum

Steamed Greens yummy Broccoli, Asparagus, Beans ... greens, greens

Salt and Pepper - (will have to cut that soon enough though)

Diet Soda - hmmm...

Coffee

Protein Shake made with Ice - so it's like thick shake or runny ice cream.

I found the 'PLOT' after loosing is a bit last week and am much happier now, still tired and hungry all the time but not exhausted and sad. I really do hate these up's and down's.

Oh and how's this - I managed to even create a new work out program for my partner and I for today's leg session (typed out and all). High Reps, Super sets, 3 x 5 mins cardio blasts to increase HR - consistently working. Made it up yesterday with the help of a BB Magazine it was quite fun to perform. Goodness knows I really need to 'Shake up' these legs of mine - it's coming, but really slowly.

Weight up and down by 1 kg (annoying as hell, but holding water and not pooping enough is to blame).... like anyone needed to know that!

I'm taking tomorrow off work - NOT SICKY - I booked it off, so that I can have a late start to the day for Cardio and posing, then sort some things out around the house ... oh and CLEAN OUT MY CAR - AKA 'The trash Heap on Wheels' full of gum wrappers and soda cans, energy drinks, 2-3 pairs of gym shoes just in case, work out gloves and towels ... yucky, I'm far from a dirty person and my normal control freak self would not let it get this bad, but well hey ... most days when I finally stop I really couldn't give a FAT RATS A***, I'm all about showering, packing for the next day, eating and sleeping!

As well as my car I'm going to visit a few salons about waxing, tanning, hair, make up etc, so that should be a bit of fun really. Any recommendations????

Diet / Planning etc for today

AM Training

M1 - Oats and Shake

M2 - Kiwi and Chicken + WW jelly

M3 - Egg Whites, 100g Salmon, Steamed Veg

+ 2 diet cokes and 3 packs of Sugar Free gum, all my vitamins and thermos oh and one yummy coffee

later on today ...

M4 - Tuna and Steamed Veg

+ Sugar Free Energy Drink

1 x Hour Cardio

M5 - Chicken and Beans

M6 - Icy Shake

BED BED BED - SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP!

lol2.gif I need to clean my car too.. its tragic (and Im not even really dieting or anything, so I've got no excuse really!) Have you booked time off work in the week leading up to your competition? I've heard from others that the comp prep in the last week seems to take up all your time and energy that you just can't focus on anything frantic.gif

Luuuv protein shakes with ice.. I've found that I can trick my brain into thinking its a frappucino drooling.gif I like to add in a teaspoon of coffee in the mix every now and then too love.gif

Hang in there and thanks for even having the energy to keep us posted. At this phase, on bad days they say the golden rule is to think "the worse I feel, the better I look". Not sure if that works but worth a try .....

Yay! I'm feeling lots better and re motivated today. Took the day off, slept in (only an hour) hit cardio, went home had relaxing breakfast then hit the beach for an hour cardio and time to reflect and get me head in the right space again. I didn't achieve anything that I wanted really, but got my sanity back a bit.

Yes Poos I am taking the week leading up to it off - that is a must.

  • 3 weeks later...

 Opps what can I say - I log in here most days to read everyone elses journal but for the life of me ... can't think of anything to post here!

Busy at work

Training hard

extra leg session

diet tightend

Tired

Still happy more of the time than not

I have however been having self doubt issues and the last few kgs and % of B.Fat are being stubbourn! I'll get there in the end. But gosh darn it can get depressing. I feel ugly and I have loose skin, I hope dream tan can hide some of my imperfections... :shifty:

Training looks like this now

MON: Cardio AM / Back & Chest PM

TUES: Legs AM - Cardio inc and high reps / Cardio PM

WED: Cardio (bike & skipping) + Posting AM / Shoulders & Arms PM

THU: Legs AM / Cardio PM

FRI: Back & Chest AM / Posing PM: With trainer

SAT: Cardio AM / Routine Practise late AM / Shoulders & Arms PM

SUN: Cardio and High Reps Legs AM / PM REST!!!

Ab's everyday - have a great Ab program that hits different angles and areas each day so allows for rest too.

My body has good days and bad and I change the rep range and weights around alot now!

I'm snappy at work - but people keep asking if I'm alright blah blah - I'm just tired, and want ot get on with my job at my own pace - If I was left alone I'd be fine but comments on my mood will in the end cause me to SNAP!

I could be worse, I've had no big issues thank goodness.

I am hairy ... yip, growing hair on my body so it can be waxed, OMG I hate hairy legs yucky yucky yucky - I feel gross and so unattractive, hoprfully I will get them waxed by this time next week!

Well everyone at work is having a BBQ now (4pm) knock off drinks and I'm going to have a diet coke and a can of TUNA... YUMO!

Hey there, yip I'm still in the game - although I've had a few mental issues! You know self esteem - lack there of. But bounced back, and am feeling happy. Plus having my body invaded by a small head-cold sucks, but I've kept strong. Thank goodness I've been good with taking vitamins, it could have been alot worse.

It's all coming together now, off work till after the comp now (May 5th) which is a relief. So much to do in the final week, wow. Even paid registration fee and did all the paper work on Saturday too.

Start de-carb tomorrow (Monday) Then it's a week full of posing and routine practice, waxing, hair and nails, tanning and of-course whatever workouts (mainly cardio) I can complete. I have my whole week planned out with appointments - thank goodness my Boyfriend is doing this too, so we can keep each other on track.

My routine still needs work and gosh darn it I'm so not the performer type, but I'll just get down to the job and act the part - got to!

Final posing training on Friday and am happy with that. Had final adjustments made to bikini so it's all falling into place bit by bit!

Home strech and it doesn't feel real yet, it's like all these steps closer and it's not hitting home that I really am doing this - me up there in front of a room full of strangers (some friends and family) in my bikini posing and basically asking people to LOOK AT ME - JUDGE ME ON MY BODY!

Yeah 2 Guns - I'm hoping to see some real difference in myself - it's all very well people around me saying how well I'm doing and that it looks like I've dropped, but I wanna see for myself. I have been told that during the last week alot can change!

Carb depleting DAY TWO ...

So today is normally a leg work out but I've been advised not to do heavy leg stuff in the final week, so I focused on stair work, box work and some sprints etc bit of the old Poly-m work. As well as fitting in all cardio.

Today was waxing - ouch - but that's a give in really! I will still have to shave the friday before spray tan as I'm not happy with the final job.

Food is minimal and protien of-course.

:) Well I won! Novice Figure: Auckland Champs!

Shame there was only me in my class Tall Figure novice and I had to go up against the only Short Figure Novice (only 1 in her class, cause the other girl didn't make her weight restriction - which was my biggest fear) although I did go up against the other figure winers for overall, so was nice to get extra stage time, to learn and get used to being on stage, although by the time overalls came around, I was shattered beyond belife!

Must say I really enjoyed it, but it was the longest most hardest day ever. I will do it again for sure!

Tired, and lazing around home now, watching movies and sleeping on the couch, my body is so sore! I really want to get right back into the gym, but have been told I must rest for at least 5 days - OMG what ever will I do? Eat? hell no, been there and doing that today, only snacking on things like rice crackers, dried fruit, nuts and protien bars. Although I did have sushi after the pre-judging and it's not like I'm using portion control ... it's alot of snaking. Dinner tonight will be salmon and green veg. yummy. I think I may indulge in some yoga and streching this week and a massage too.

Don't have any pics yet, but am on Go-Figure website in a back stage picture. Can't wait for the real photos.

I LOVE THIS SPORT!
