Hey guys, figured it was about time to get some pics taken after my cut. I took it very slowly, managed to maintain or gain strength along the way. Only a 3.5kg weight loss from the previous pictures taken 2 months ago but I think its made quite a difference. More pictures and poses this time, will be a good catalog to look back on. Pics and measurements were taken cold.

I'm wanting to focus on powerlifting next year, but I'd like to do a bodybuilding comp in 2013, maybe even the end of next year if I felt ready and wasn't building up to any 3 lifts. So really I'm after critiques of areas I need to improve on to look my best on stage. I think I really need to bring up my arms and shoulders, add some lat width and bigger legs as well. I almost never directly work arms or calves so should probably start doing that :lol: What do you guys think needs improving? (other than posing :pfft: )

I almost never directly work arms
agree with your arms .... seems to be a trend with a lot of new blood coming through now ... what happened to young fullas training their clubbing muscles twice/three times a week (Chest AND arms lol).

Interesting you say wide back - I think its probably a stronger group for you imo ... I'd suggest try to thicken your back up around the traps and bring out your rear delts a bit to complement the meat you already have - but its actually in good order otherwise based on where you are at.

Things you cant have too much of on stage (amoung other things) too much tricep, rear delt and traps :nod:

Thanks for the advice Opti, much appreciated :nod: With arms I can never really be bothered, I suppose I just don't like doing small lifts. I'd rather do some close grip chins than curls, or close grip bench than tri extensions etc. I've always been focusing more on getting stronger and bigger in general than any particular areas, I guess now I've made it to the point where things do need some extra attention :) I'm really pleased with how my back has come out, guess I just want it to be wider, along with delts to really add width to my upper body.

Nice lower back, you can see the tree.. Im guessing you arent afraid of deadlifting

:nod: I'd say it's my favourite exercise when I feel up to going heavy.

Good stuff mate. That 3.5kg made a huge difference. I'm sure you've lost more than 3.5kg of fat, which means you must have gained a fair bit of muscle too. Well done, sir!

I'm hoping so :) I kept lifting heavy and made progress where I could, and dropped the weight slowly so it's nice to think I may have gained some muscle. Checking the journal I was 93kg almost exactly a month ago, so only a 1kg loss in the last month but it definitely looks like more :D

Does any think my fat distribution seems a bit more uneven than most? I was shocked when I saw the pics of my back, didn't expect it to show that much detail considering what I could see on my front and legs.

Wow man that's an improvement! Imagine how you'll look when you're Androids age if you keep improving at that rate. :)

Cheers Nate, always telling it like it is :P I've sorted my membership at Sky Fitness for next year so I'm sure I'll be able to tap into a wealth of knowledge, both PL and BB related. I'm gonna be at CBC over summer too, so might share the mirror with Opti at times when Steaks not looking :pfft:

Thanks mate. I don't really want to drop anymore at the moment, I don't see the point. I'm happy with where I'm at for summer, just want to focus on getting stronger and slowly adding size again.

That's a pretty impressive physique....and you're 6'2" :clap: great effort and worth it to ay!

Seriously that is an open class quality back :nod: . While a few parts could do with a bit more size ( Arms, Quads) I think you should try drop under 80kg and compete as a novice next year. You'll do really well man!

Under 80 :shock: After adding more size to my weak areas, do you think I'd be able to get under 80? I was always thinking Junior Athletic would be a better suited class.

Next year my focus will be on powerlifting, but the competitions I have in mind are all earlier in the year. If I get the opportunity to do a BB show later in the year I'll take it if I'm happy I've brought my physique more into balance.

Can anyone spot other areas that need improvement, or do you all agree with what's been said already? Arms, rear delts, traps, and quads?
