abs been sore for 7 days, should i keep resting ?

the reason they're most likely sore is because, last week on wednesday i did my first ab work since feb :D

tomorrow i got abs again, and was wondering if i should keep resting.

I've never had this much fatigue before, its pretty bad :shock:

was even hard today just getting on the decline bench for some DB flys

answer is probably yes keep resting but any ideas why my abs taking so long to recover :shock:

it sucks cause for once i was actually looking forward to ab work

If i have really bad DOMS for a few days I find it helps to workout the targeted muscle group lightly to get some blood flow which seems to aid in getting rid of the acidity build up.

Also, something I heard of recently: Drinking a class of sodium bicarbonate in water to lower blood pH and supposedly reduces muscle soreness.

Just a few ideas...

Just a very mild workout. I once smashed my hamstrings and I was sore for 7 days, and couldn't stretch them very far for another 3 even though the inital soreness had gone.

yeah I was like this once,couldn't stand straight ,I remember we were going to waiwera springs as well,the warm water didnt do crap,just rest!
