Last time there were a few categories, something for everyone so both experienced and new guys and girls all have a chance at winning a prize.

I'd be interested in doing it. Being a newbie - some extra motivation can only be a good thing. Might have to encourage some more females to join in to make it interesting.

Yeah, why not? That'll make sure you all behave yourselves over the festive season!

Only thing is, I'm not so sure about starting on New Years day... A lot of people are still on holiday then, and historically the site's been a bit quieter than usual. How about Jan the 15th? That way we might catch a few New Year's Resolutionists as well!

na not bulking ull just encourage people to get fat LOL!

most improved is good.

cant we do a bulking with a waist to chest raito formula incorperated with their weight gain.

eg if person x (cammo) enters the contest at 100kg with a waist of 88cm and a chest of 120cm.

In six months time when person x is in horrible shape of 120kg with a waist of 105cm and a chest of 110cm, he wont score very highly because of our formula.

is only an idea... and someone else will actualy have to calculate the formula, im the ideas not the brains.

two classes novice and open,

there would only be 3 people in open as no one else has done a comp on nzbb.

how would u deicide novice from open?

and most fo the people on this site dont compete so having a "proper bodybuilding thing" isnt fair because soem people have been doing it longer than others and will have a big advantage.

it needs to be a comp so everyone has fair chance. this is why i think most improved is good, then this u could either bulk or cut depending what your goals are and could be judged on your improvments for that.

just my 2c

You don’t have to have done a comp before to do open class…ok if it’s going to be fair to everyone there would need to heaps more “classes”

I’m only suggesting it to be like a real comp because it would give the new guys a glimpse of what it’s like without been to serious about it

i know u dont have to have done a comp.

and no u dont have to have "heaps" more classes, maybe for your idea, but for most improved it can be everyone against everyone and if your a female you can be compared to a male because it would be judged on how much improvment u have made over the duration of the competition what ever it is...

and its not really a glimpse of a real comp. if u tryed to ran it like a real comp, would u have everybody tan up etc. i doubt it bro its just abit of fun and give a lil motivation to those who want it.

but whatever happens ill look forward to seeing how it goes

I've seen quite a few on-line comps on other forum sites that I am a member of.

Some work really well, some fall flat on their arses.

You need some incentive to get people to stick 'em out until the end.

Get some sponsors to donate prizes & stuff like that.

I would be happy to help judge. I've been doing it over here in Aust for years & you lot seem pretty friendly, so I would love to get involved.

Although you would need to pay for your own way over, I would be happy to offer the best male & best female free entry into next years CCI, in the Class of their choice. I could probably throw in a few free seats for your friends or partners if they wanted to come over to support you.

Let me know what you reckon.

The successful ones selected the judges for the members to approve.

They had a few different categories, with prizes for each one.

Naturally there was a before & after photo taken with a local newspaper to verify the starting & finishing dates.

You can judge it how like. Most weight loss or gained. Best physique as per a BBing comp. Members choice, all sorts of things.

Get everyone to post up their ideas & work around that. But try & get some decent prizes to keep everyones interest up.

A thread with competitor's training & dieting journals are great for other members to offer advice or feedback. Make sure it's all positive & upbeat, no harsh criticism & crap like that.

Good luck with it, I hope it works out well for everyone.
