Hmmm. That's actually a very good question. I don't really know, but here's my best guess...

Chest (particularly upper?) and a bit of front delts for the top of the movement. Almost entirely rotator cuff (small muscles in the shoulder) by the bottom of the movement - so probably not the kindest thing to do to your shoulders.

Does that sound right to you cleverer people? :)

I felt sure that this sort of information would exist somewhere out there on the superhighway.

I did a bit of a search and found the "Ultimate Arm Wrestling" site, which has some info on what bits to train and even has some of the best arm wrestlers weights ( http://www.eiyc.com/how_strong.htm#dbcurl ).
