Hi All hope you are having a great weekend :-)

My name is Brooke I am a former competitive runner - mainly middle distance, I competed for N.Z in road relays. I now have three little kids so priorities have changed, but keen for a new fitness goal. i would like to try body building /scuplting although I'm a complete novice. I am a fit person, but unsure whether my height - 172cm and weight 55/56kg would suit. Are there any local Dunedin trainers, or where do I start?

Thanks heaps xxx Enjoy the sun :)

Brooke

Achmed the Dead Terrorist is an extremely friendly and helpful fellow!

Brookecar, have you ever done a resistance/weight training program, or always focused on running until now? Are you just interested in changing your body or do you wish to get on stage one day?

It may be worth getting in touch with Natasha Guy, she's a trainer in Dunedin who has competed in figure herself. Her site is http://balanceforlife.co.nz/

Welcome Aboard Brooke!

I think if you are looking for a BBing trainer in Dunedin and an atmosphere which cultivates and encourages both the bodybuilding style of training and lifestyle you can't really look past Sky Fitness on top of the Moray place carpark ( I'm sure Ronin agrees).

on a side note guys I beleive it is spelt "A-C-H FLEM-M-E-D"

Hi Everyone :-)

Thanks for all your advice, I really appreciate it! I think I'll give sky fitness a go, I was thinking about Olympicic gym coz close to my Mum ( for babysittitng) I have previously trained with weights, but low weights, high reps, I imagine the training load must be huge and be a long process, But a I think it is a great goal, I don't imagime returning to track racing, but still run for fitness. So thanks for your advice. I will get in touch with a trainer and see how things go

Thanks heaps :-)
