I'm not the expert but I think you are being pretty hard on yourself. Lots of thick muscle and width is coming along. In terms of your middle back, looks like it is thickening up. Keep working hard mate. Lots of pulls, rows, deadlifts, good mornings. Keep it basic and heavy.

What's your bodyweight?

95 atm doc..

With your BB rows how strict are you with form?

like angle to the ground, momentum ect?

Fark you look bigger than 95. Good work. Please don't do doing any silly cutting. Keep growing.

I try to remain strict on most of my sets but I do let it go a bit if I go for say a heavy set of 5-6. Then get back to good form. I do think that good form and full range of motion is the key to a big back. With a back like that you should be able to get a good feel with your rowing and pulling movements.

I think your back is looking mean bro, good width and you have great rear delts which is not very common.

I think if you cut a little bit of body fat you would have an impressive taper, and you'd be able to see the lower back development a bit better. You have a good dead lift so the muscles there will be strong mate but if you feel the need weighted hyperextensions are good value.

Could just be the pose, but lower traps appear to dominate upper traps. Maybe try mixing you're shrugs around, lower weight or dumbbells focusing on squeeze at top.

A great inner back exercise is reverse cable flies lying on a bench supersetted with reverse pec deck. Both are not about the weight used but the squeeze.

Also in for some quad shots, want to see how they are coming along! :poked: lol

Thanks Doc good to hear, thats what i'm aiming for! LMFAO i was 60kg when i started training 5 years ago doc the last thing you will catch me doing is trying to drop weight!! i'm bulking year round lol.

I'm not too tough to say my legs are rubbish and alas most of my weight is up top but i am working very hard atm to get them back to former glory and they are no1 priority (will post pics in a few months)

Basically in agreeance with SG and Doc. Just keep slugging away at it. Just remember that not all exercises are created equal for mid back development but don't get caught up in doing 3 exercises solely for that purpose

Doc said don't do anything silly like cut

Then

Soundsgood said to cut

are you sitting on the fence PD

I would go with SG advice see result then continue with clean bulk

my 2c worth

But yeah looking good mate

"60kg when i started training 5 years"

T___T for serious? Bro now you cause after shocks when you drop plates!

Good width, wouldn't a different pose show more of the thickness your after? like bringing the elbows back?

Maybe you could try neutral grip bar on pulldowns? I find pulling that right in, gives a hella burn in between the shoulder blades

He doesnt need to cut unless he's getting ready for a comp.

I think SG was merely out that his lower back development would become visible if he cut some of the fat away...not suggesting he cut.

Bro, was thinking about this statement. There is no reason why you can't develop your legs (and other weak points) to be match your back and shoulders. The only things that will hold you back will be desire, training technique and training intensity. :)

My old training partner said to me that we all need to train our weakest bodypart as hard and as smart as our best bodypart.
