Good question and it's actually something I've given a bit of thought to :pfft:

I would do the Pinks again, but because they're breast cancer ones, they kinda conflict with our Child Cancer charity drive :think:

So I was thinking - being St Patty's day and all - I might wear some green ones to go with my green tee.

Thoughts?

Can you find Child cancer ones? Green would be ideal as it's CDPA colours too as well as St Pats day hmmm hadn't thought of that!

I have some rainbow leopard print ones which I am a bit partial to but I don't think they are quite long enough. I will have to do some more research! Good luck with the sock hunting sir! :salute:

I had thought of that, or even just plain white ones and drawing on them :pfft: But no I haven't found any, tbh haven't actively looked really either :shifty: I must see if I can get a pair of CDs socks, they'd go well :nod:

Cheers bro! Yeah the adrenaline should make the pain disappear, that's the easy part, just the strength it seems to be sapping from my squat is what worries me... ah well see how it goes anyway.

Cheers Phed, yep that's the plan! Should be able to squeak a little over 700 all going well... don't wanna jinx myself though so will see how it goes on the day.

13.03.2012 - Pre-Comp

104.8, have been feeding up large over the past couple of days, going pretty crazy in fact... ha ha. So not surprised that I'm pushing the weight limit, but this is where I want to come in. So will hold things a bit, and maybe drop in for a weigh in on Thursday/Friday. Generally weigh in quite low on Saturdays anyway.

  • Squats (sets x reps @ weight - RPE)
    bar
    1 x 8 @ 60kg
    1 x 5 @ 100kg
    1 x 3 @ 140kg
    1 x 3 @ 180kg (b) - 8

  • Pretty much came in just to stretch and get some light squats going. Did a lot of PVC rolling which felt pretty good. Came to the squatting though and the body was achey - back is feeling much better though! Just the surrounding areas - hip, glute, mid back - that have all been taking extra strain while the injured part is weaker are now deciding to kick up a bit due to picking up the slack. All good, rather they fix themselves now while I can rest, than on comp day!
    All that meant though was that I cut it at 180 and decided to call the session there. For the remaining time until Saturday I'm just gonna rest up, maybe go for a walk or two and stretch things out here and there.

I know! Might be in the aesthetics class aka 93s when I get back :pfft:

But seriously hope to get some gyms in on the iron pilgrimage, top of the list is Westside when I'm in the States.

Hopefully get a squat session in here and there when I run out of touristy stuff to do, but otherwise will enjoy giving the body a rest I reckon.
