Cheers TT I will do better mate but bodyweight and strength is a must first to improve in such a strong field but give it a little time bro and we shall go for a piss off our own lol

good stuff lightweight!! the vp strong man career is under way, onwards in upwards!! so glad i stayed strong and didnt enter after ur encouragement last night (i nearly caved), i woulda got smoked!!!!

LMFAO well I guess they call it strongman for a reason :pfft: :pfft: I did get owned to brother but i know what is needed to be competitive here now, example squat 300kg belt and wraps, bench 200 - 220kg raw, shoulder press from floor 140 - 160kg and deadlift must be over 300kg stiff leg deadlift 220kg + bent over rows 180kg + and be cardio fit with a bodyweight off 115kg + if you can achieve this I think you have a good shot at man handling the events which is what is needed, so I am sitting down tonight to work out how I can achieve this as fast as possible over the next 18 months :)

Yeah mate a few things to work on for next comp in 6 weeks and I will be looking for an improvement on this one only event which is the same as the last comp will be the Apollon axle :roll: goal get more than last time shouldn't be a hard task as I got none this time lol

:D:D Cheers Nate good to see you again mate and thanks for your tips though out the day :clap: , Nah I am weak as pig shit mate once I build up some raw strength to man handle those implements then it'll be fun times with more bodyweight thats a must , but you'll right I am going to get out too Matt's and learn how to pick up and throw these items around that will help....

Training Strongman

Train with Matt, Dale, Richard today at Matt's place

Myself and Dale done some work with the stones before hitting power cardio Matt and Richard done some squats first

Power cardio today was 3 x 5 mintue rounds

events were

tyre flips

keg slams and drops

sledge hammer hits to tyre

sled drags

rope pulls hand over hand with tyre attached

log presses

This was my first time and I am looking forward to next week.

same next week train with implements first then some power cardio to finish off awesome thanks for the tips and good advice guys.

hope u added the traditional vp calf raise to the shrugs as why only work the traps when u can get a calf pump 2 8)

:pfft: :pfft: RM mate over under grip today with no straps wanted to test my pulling power so I was in a more solid position so max deadlifts next week on wednesday mate :wink: feeling good
