Been a while since ya posted Kate.... How's progress?

Oh I know!! Been very slack a writing it, got new programme - Teneka took us through the whole lot yesterday upper and lower - and I'm wrecked!! 24 exercises in total and I did a few double sets - it's take me ages to write it up!! Will do monday though - plan is monday - upper, tue - lower, weds - upper, thurs - lower, friday - whole lot as its my day off!! So if life gets int he way (as it does) if i do at least 3 sessions before the weekend I'll be happy - and then one on friday or sat ;) finally got new scales for the kitchen so the OCD weighing of food shall commence!!

So back to gym yesterday after a week off and my ass is on fire. Only did lower as being careful with the neck - doctors orders!!!

4x 15 steps-ups one leg - one set with 4kg shoulder press (didnt wanna inflame neck and do all sets with weights)

3x 15 leg press 52kg single leg

3x 20 lunges 4kg

3x 15 Bosu squats

2x walking lunges with 4kg med ball twists

3x 15 single leg step ups with 4kg DB

no cardio and no abs yesterday, might do tomorrow - if my legs work again - so sore!!! But it feels good ;)

and the life throws you a curve ball........so my plan was to get my training down pat, lose another couple kilo's (say get down to 62 or so) and then I was gonna go overseas for a month to go home and obviously that would involve eating in exotic restaurants in Paris.....so was maybe gonna leave competing til this time next year.

And then I got made redundant this week.....so no trip for me. f*ck. Guess I'll have a bit more time on my hands.......so reckon I could probs hit the stage later this year. Any ideas?? I vaguely recall there being something in Oct/Nov....but cant think straight right now to go searching for info!!

Anyone need a photographer?? I'm really bloody good!!!

sorry to hear about your job Kate...I am going back to studying and my work will most likely not accept me staying there as a part timer, so I sort of know that feeling :(

A mate's wedding is coming up and I'll check if they need someone to photograph them.

Sorry to hear you were made redundant. It's just so common nowadays. Every company seems to be going through a restructure!

There's the Wellington champs on Oct 1, and I think the NABBA show is a couple of weeks prior in Wellington. Go for it!

What class were you thinking? Bikini, body fitness, figure?

Wanted to to fitness/bikini - I might not make it for October but i'd be nice to have something to aim for! Training has suffered over past 2 weeks so annoyed, put neck out so week off there, lost job so spent a couple days at the bottom of a bottle :twisted: and now getting whatever bloody winter lurgy that been going around - soooooooo pissed!!! Anyhow Gotta work my months notice, hope like hell that I might get a good job in them meantime or else I'll be down the dole office, but got a bit of cash behind me so I'll survive I'm just petrified about whats gonna happen!!!

Currently I'm hovering around 65kg, 25% no idea what sorta BF I shoudl be aiming for?? 20% ish?? WIth my frame I dont wanna real drop below 60kgs as I been there and it didnt look good....who knows I was obviously not as muscular then!! All those bikini chicks are like 50kgs tho and alot taller.....I is short and curvy!!! Can but try eh!

From what I've seen and been told, the bikini ladies tend to range between 17-20% so you definitely have a great goal. The comp is four months away, which is totally achievable. In saying that, you need to concentrate on yourself right now, as I'm sure this is quite a tough situation you're in.

You're doing so well so far chick, just keep doing what you're doing (and don't worry so much about the hiccups in between) and you'll be fine :)

Wow I have to say that since D-day last week I've struggled to make it to gym...thought I was coming down with something and didnt want to inflaem it....my mind is just exhausted from all the thinking and trying to make decisions about what to do next.....and I know the gym helps but my poor body is at the end of its tether :naughty: .....need a telling off motivation please!!! Plus I got stinking headache today ;(

I'm trying!!!! Just not hard enough. I'll get m y zing back by the weekend and ruin myself doing step-ups. In fact I might do the whole thing upper and lower friday to make up for my slackness!!!

Well normally I'd only do upper/ lower not both but last 10 days been a bit of a life crisis so hadn't been to gym so wanted to make up for it a little. Teneka Hyndman is my trainer and totally trust her judgement and advice - I told her I wanted to work back more (weak point) and shoulders so the 12 or so exercises usually 2 sets each, takes 45mins or so? Then 20 mins cardio....then lower body usually 30mins then abs then cardio - I'm sure if I only wanted to do 8 outta the 12 it would be sweet but I like a challenge!!!

Well seriously life is just pissing me off now...one hiccup after another and the training suffers - been in bed with flu for 4 days now....so irritated. However job finishes on 8th July so I'll can go everyday whenever the hell I feel like it until as/when I find another full-time job....unless I just try my hand at freelancing....we shall see!!! So Im looking forward to at least 5 solid weeks of training daily until I go away and then when I get back until work starts (cross fingers) get ripped and get portfolio done - simple plans ! \:D/

Na thats cool!! It could be but my new super skin tight jeans are definitely not as skin tight as 2 weeks ago :) plus I've been so stressed my appetite has plummeted so it may all well go straight back on who knows!! Finally better so back to training properly tomorrow and all week as have a hot date with a 23 yr old next weekend.......so gotta be looking fine!!!!!
