It's a pretty strong line up in Wgtn let alone nationals. I will be happy if I look good and am able to be competitive. Nationals will be a great contest with some great competitors. I might jump to masters for that show if I do it.

Doing Masters isnt a silly idea bro. Means an easier ride to the overalls (usually) and you can save some energy & timing to be 101% when it counts in the overall posedown.

Did back last night.

Straight arm pulldowns 4 sets of 12-15

T-bar rows 1p, 3p, 5p/12 reps each

6p/8 then finished with 4p/ 15

Hammer strength pulldowns 5 sets 10-12 (heavy set only 4pps for 8)

Hammer strength one arm rows 2pps, 3pps, 4pps/ 10-12 reps each

5pps/ 8

Front pulldowns 2 sets of 12-15 (back was finished)

Standing EZ bar curls 4 sets of 12-15 reps, just wanted to get a pump on these probably only had about 20k.

30 mins treadmill.

Seated bent db laterals 3 sets 12-15 reps

Bent cable laterals 2 sets 12-15 reps

Hammer strength shoulder press 1pps, 2pps, 3pps/ 15 reps

4pps/ 10, 4pps/ 7, 3pps/ 9

Standing bb press 3 sets with 60k for 10-12 reps

Seated db laterals 2 sets 10-12

Machine laterals 3 sets 12-15

Pushdowns 4 sets 15-20

Facing away pushdowns 3 sets 15-20

30 mins treadmill

Good workout today. More looking for a pump than anything and thank you shoulders for always satisfying that.

Booked my tickets to wgtn today.... no pulling out now! GULP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last question - don't suppose you know where you get tickets from? Checked the NZIFBB website, just saw a flyer of the event saying to... check the NZIFBB website for more info :pfft: I'll ask in the event thread on here anyway...

I just emailed Moe to find out as I'm heading down from the Bay (hopefully with a crew of loudmouths) & Peachy is flying down from Auckland. Should have a rentacrowd for ya big dawg! :nod:

What is this "biceps" and "triceps" you speak of? Might need to ask Trap if he can jack something up, I don't recognize these muscle groups :pfft:

But yeah I'm sure we can tee something up for midday on a Saturday. The comp actually falls on my mid-program deload week, so it will be a pretty cruisey session for me.

Arm training??? I'm there!

Did a bits and pieces workout yesterday. Just to get some blood moving around, quick breaks tried to keep tension on.

Straight arm pulldowns 4 sets of 12-15

Low pulley rows one arm at a time 3 sets of 12 (paused contraction)

Hammer strength high rows one arm at a time 4 sets of 10-12

Hammer strength incline press 4 sets of 10-12

Bb rows 4 sets of 10-15

Cable crossovers 3 sets of 12-15

Hammer preacher curls 4 sets of 10-12

Incline db curls 3 sets of 8-10

20 mins of treadmill.

Just worked on trying to squeeze everything and get a good pump, felt good.

Did chest, abs and cardio last night

Incline bb worked to 2 heavy sets of 140k for 8 then 6 reps. Followed by 2 sets at 2 plates of 10-12. Neck playing up again so slowed reps down and kept tension on.

Hammer strength incline up to 3.5 pps for 2 sets of 8-10 then 2 sets with 2.5 pps for as many as possible with partials.

Cable crossovers 3 sets 12-15

Incline db flyes 2 sets 8-10

Seated machine press 3 sets 12-15

3 sets hanging leg raises bringing feet to hands. 10-12 reps each

30 min treadmill.

Ok workout today.

Did legs yesterday. Knee really playing up but nearly there so just doing what I can. Pretty happy with how my legs are in terms of development for now so just doing what I can to hold that together.

Calves 5 sets on hack squat machine.

Leg extensions 5 sets of 12-20

Hack squats 1pps, 3pps, 5 pps/ 12 reps each

Then 6pps/ 10 (bit of a grinder)

Squats 60, 100, 140, 180k/ 6 reps each. Dead at this point. Knee was killing and just no push left. Frustrating.

Straight leg deads 3 sets 12 done in hammer strength shrug machine very light just stretching them out really.

3 sets of lying leg curls 12-15 reps light and holding contraction.

20 mins treadmill.

Wasn't loving training but my legs got a great pump so it will suffice. Switched off to how weak I feel cos well I smashed the hacks so it wasn't too bad.

Weighed in at 103.8k. Lightest I have been in years. Coming together pretty well I think.

Close grip pulldowns 4 sets 10-12

Parallel grip chins 2 sets 12

Wide grip chins 2 sets 10

3 sets bb rows 100k 12 reps each

Hammer strength 1 arm rows 1.5pps, 3pps, 4.5pps/ 10-12 reps

6pps/ 6 reps then finished both arms at once 3pps @12 reps.

Hammer preacher curls 4 sets

Standing db curls 15k, 20k, 25k, 30k/ 6-10 reps.

30 mins treadmill

Not long now man, sounds like you're gonna be bang on conditioning with size to boot. Can't wait to see how you come in. When do you fly in? Are you hanging around till nats or flying home then back over?

Fly in fly out bro. Can't get time off now. Well I can but I don't want to use it just for comps. Need it for kids holidays and stuff.

Yeah man sadly no heavy stuff at all really this time. I've had to diet a little differently because I don't have much time for training or cardio and my job whilst long is very sedentary. And with squats, well my knee is so crap I can't get off the loo without it hurting ha ha ha

I think my legs look ok though.

Delts and tris

Face pulls 5 sets 12-15

Seated db press 10k, 20k, 30k, 40k/ 12-15 reps each

50k/ 9 then finished with light set 32.5k/ 15-20 reps

Seated lateral machine just did 4 sets here with both arms at once then one arm at a time for 2 sets all between 12-15 reps

Tricep puhdowns 5 sets 15-20 just squeezing them.

Close bench 60k, 80k, 100k/ 12 reps each pausing on chest and holding contraction.

No cardio tonight at gym.

Real quick chest workout tonight. I feel all kinds of wiped out today.

Incline flyes worked up to 2 sets of 12 then 10 with 40k

Then 4 sets of cable crossovers 12-15 reps

Wanted to get as much blood as possible into my chest.

Incline bb press did sets of 12 with 60, 80, 100k. Then 9 with 120k bloody heavy... finished this exercise with 100 for 12 again.

Incline hammer press 5 sets 10-12 reps. Only went up to 3pps.

Dead lol

Oh started today with 3 sets of wide grip chins just cos I wanted to.
