Ha ha ha ha I know the gym he trains at, maybe the weights are just lighter there. I might go have a look!

I am going good, just trying to thicken up a bit before I start dieting.

Legs last night.

Been thinking it's time I lifted my game with leg training. I don't really struggle with leg development so I just kind of cruise along with legs most of the time. Spent a lot of last year just trying to even my legs up due to my left knee being somewhat limited because of injury. I feel like I have done that and now I can go about the business of making the damn things grow.

Squats bar, 60k, 100k, 140k, 180k(b), 220k(b+w)/ 3 reps each

240(b+w)/3 wraps and belt off then drop to 180k/6 drop to 140k/6

Was good, man my muscular endurance is shot though. I thought I was going to die by the time I got down to 140.

Leg press 3 sets up 13 plates a side for 10-12 reps

4 sets of leg extensions 15-20 reps

4 sets of lying leg curls for 12-15 (holding contraction)

Legs fried!

Oh I think things just become more efficient when you diet.. so whilst I might not be doing anything major in terms of getting stronger I find for the most part I can maintain strength and build up reps with heavy weights a little bit. We'll see if my body still works like that at this ancient age!

Did Back and calves yesterday.

5 sets of calf raises on the hack squat 12-15 reps each

2 sets of light pulldowns to warm up biceps and rotators and back for deads.

Deadlifts 60k, 100k, 140k, 180k, 220k/3 reps each

260k/2 and a half lol..

280k/0 well I couldn't get it past my knees grrrrr annoying.

220k/6

Parallel grip chins bw, bw+20k, bw/6-10 reps each with forced reps each set and slow negaitives

Pulldowns 4 sets of 8-12 last set was rest pause with 2 pauses

Straight arm pulldowns 4 sets of 12-15

Hammer strength rows 3pps, 4pps/8-10 reps. Had to get help with last 2 reps so just stopped there. My back was fried and today I am feeling it. Those deadlifts really took it out of me.

Well I have been talking over the possibility of doing a CAPO meet later on in the year or once the bodybuilding comps are over. My brother is doing a lot of strongman training in melb and he hitting me up to do something so I thought a powerlifting meet rather than a strongman comp (he'll kill me at that lol) ....

Trained pretty hard over the weekend, had a wgtn guy here for a few days so he was schooling me on some stuff..

Can't remember exactly what we did but on sat I cracked a single at 220k on bench which I was happy about and on sunday I did a double on 260k for squats. First time squatting 260 in a long long long time so I was really happy with that effort.

BW sitting right around 117 now and holding fast there. Got some good thickness and roundness happening (especially in my face and belly ha ha ha ha)

We had a big fitness Expo over here and the pros in attendance were, Roelly Winklaar, Marcus Ruhl, Flex Lewis, Ronnie Coleman and ummm some other guy who I don't remember. Nothing quite like seeing guys like that in the flesh, gives you some perspective. I mean I am not exactly a tiny guy but standing next to Roelly who's not much taller than me I am pretty sure his arms were about the same size as my legs.. I may have cried... a little.

And squatting, what is the last weight you do before attempting a 260. Do you jump from like 220 to 260, or did you do a 240kg single or double first?

I was stoked to hit that bench. Not sure what it would equate to as a paused rep. Maybe if I make my grip a bit wider and stuff... but well that's for another time. I actualy worked up to it then just drop setted back to a plate... so 5pl, 4pl etc etc etc

My last squat before 260 was 220/3. They were so easy I thought I would be ok to jump a plate. Now I am going to move toward doing 280 but have to hit 3 solid easy reps with 260 first. So might not happen pre comp. Start dieting in 2 weeks then it's back to 80k benches and machine squats lol

Yeah I am... I have tripled 220 a few times so I am really really close. I feel like I am a lot thicker now though than I was way back then. I mean I first benched 220 when I was quite young and had not much development past some decent delts and ok triceps. Now I feel like I have a whole world of thickness I didn't have.

Sept 8th locked in, wgtn nzfbb show. Start the diet in 2 weeks, full 16 week prep to Wellies then 4 weeks or maybe 5 after that is the Aus Nationals.

In wellington, its cold. Trained at les mills yesterday and today. Didn't do much, incline db the 65s for a few reps yesterday and squatted 5 and a half plates today for a triple. Pretty easy. Met Dinah at Mills, good to meet you and then visited the house and saw MT and Old Bull and a couple of other guys. Will try and train there tomorrow.

Back in sydney and apparently got pneumonia.. thanks wgtn!!! LOL

Had a good time while back home, didn't do too much training really but did some decent squats up to 240k, hit the 65k dbs on the incline at Les Mills for a few reps and did some muck around stuff at the House.

NOw to get healed and into prep mode.
