I dunno, I think Harry would out bench God too.

Do you bench with a spotter bro? Lift off and hands away till last rep or give u guide through most of the reps AKA it's all you?

I get a hand off with the heavy sets and no touching until I get stuck. It's not a bench press/upright row combo. I hate getting hands on any exercises I do until the end and generally only on my last set.

I'm like that as well. I also never let anyone help me get started on Dumbbell Presses... if you can't get the first rep up nicely and by yourself, you shouldnt be doing the weight!

Funny you say this dude, my TP mentioned something to me at the end of our workout....

He goes Jess, I noticed that your used to training on your own coz when we were doing Incline DB Press you tried to get all weight up on your own (i had 15kg DBs), he goes see if you just let me take all the weight for you you're saving your energy for your set....

Well I have been training and training hard I just haven't posted anything. The pressure is on to lift something decent in the SG challenge. I am off to Samoa for 11 days starting tomorrow so ummm unless I can bench press children I am out of luck gymwise.... :shock: :shock:

Looking forward to seeing what everyone manages to do!

Lol yep my brother is getting married... and apparently there are only a couple of gyms and not on the island we are staying on!!!! I will work on my tan and deadlift coconut trees.

Right I am back and I think gained 5 kilos of bourbon weight and lost 10 kilos of muscle. I found one gym and it wasn't much fun training in the heat and humidity and then I went to an island with no gym yay me. So I drank bourbon and Vailima and ate chicken and taro.

How is Samoa these days, recovering and rebuilt ok?

It's ok I guess... I mean it's pretty basic but it's mostly rebuilt and things are ticking along in the island way.

I am definitely hungry for the gym and some steak!!!

Probably just what the doctor ordered bro. You've been cutting for AGES, a bit of rest and recomp will give your rig a chance to recharge and fuel the fire again.

Back to it.. I have had a few weeks off training really, probably only done 4 workouts in the last few weeks. Oh well today I am back to it.

Started out with some light shoulders and biceps, won't even bother writing it up but I do have to say all my joints feel good and I am holding steady around 110-112. Definitely time to kick off my prep so going to keto it for a while to get my condition in quick. I will have xmas day and NYE off.

Last night did legs, just an easy one. Breaking back into it.

Squats sets of 12 until I hit 4pps then just did 6.

Hack squats sets of 12 up to 5pps for 2 sets.

4 sets of leg extensions 12-15 reps and calves for 4 sets light so probably @30 reps per set?

That was it. Hips feel good, lower back fine and knees felt best they have in a long while. This resting business has some merits after all.

This morning at 5am I did chest and triceps. Just a nice easyone again.

Incline bb sets of 10 up to 2.5pps.

Flye machine 3 sets 12-15 light as, just trying to get full stretch and good contraction.

Flat bench up to 3pps for 6. Shoulder a little tight but weight felt nice and light.

Tricep pushdowns 4 sets of 12.

Yep eveything holding together well. Nice and full, still decent condition for all the crap I have been eating and not too much of a pansy....

Merry xmas from me and mine to you and yours! Been a great year of watching some of you guys and gals do some awesome stuff. Keeps me motivated. Made some staunch friends and hopefully contributed some useful stuff in amongst the garbage I post. I've learnt a lot of new and different things that I apply to my training but mostly I've just enjoyed interacting with some good people who are as crazy and even crazier than I am. Had a lot of laughs at some of the less positive posters and occasionally wanted to throw my pc across the ditch hoping it knocks some mofos in the mouth lol no roid rage.. Just regular samoan rage!

Looking forward to following more people on their journeys this upcoming year, just got to get this eating and drinking business out of the way LOL

The most enjoyable thing for me has been thinking I might actually be helping someone. So if I have helped you I'm so happy about that, it's helped me live vicariously through your achievements.

Hey Harry, how low do you go on your Hack Squats mate?

I usually do the full ROM right down to the bottom... One of my knees were playing up today during my workout and I should have listened to the signs earlier on before deciding to hop on the damn Hack Squat machine. I had to bail out on a work set today... the right knee just gave up. I think it's just a strain, so next week it'll be okay, but I'm sure something would have broken if I pushed for more reps tho.

I just as low as I can wiithout it hurting. If I am using the hammer strength I get to about 90 degrees if I am using a regular hack squat then I will sit down as low as possible without letting my hips rotate forward. I have some pretty severe pain issues with me left knee so I have to be pretty careful these days.

I reckon if something hurts you just have to be careful, I used to just keep on working through and it definitely isn't worth it.
