Ok well I have been thinking long and hard about whether or not I actually have the desire required to do these upcoming shows and whether or not I have the tools to DOMINATE the competition as I would like to. Stupid low carbs.

I do know I have been slack logging my workouts and making myself accountable. So I am writing this so I stop being a lazy bugger.

Back on the logging workouts trip and I will finally take some pics and post.

Seriously bro stop overthinking things. Thats why I pay someone to think for me in the last few weeks.

Mate you're the biggest threat at the Waikato show this year with your mass and experience, don't let the low-carbs get to you.

Alternatively though if you are stuck for time-off and need more prep time you seriously could fly down to Sth Island and do that show, then following weekend do the Nats...be away from Oz for just 8 days in total cos the shows are back to back....yeah I've considered it too :-)

Everything starting to look good though, big separation out nice and clean and all the details starting to come in.... still a ways to go yet, I looked at where I want to be conditioning wise and if I don't get there I ain't competing lol... being big isn't going to be enough to beat you hungry bastards ha ha ha ha ha

Last workout was legs...

Did front squats first, paused at bottom position and used a very wide stance. Tried to bottom out with body still upright to recruit a lot of adductor and glute tie in.

40k, 60k, 100k, 120k, 120k/12-15 reps each set

Inverted leg press (different one frmo the one I normally use and fucking hard as lol)

2pps, 3pps, 4pps, 5pps, 6pps/ 15 reps each. Was struggling with 5pps and 6pps was super hard. Paused in bottom position and again used wide foot stance and did one rep at a time. Hams, glutes adductors and quads were screaming by the end!

Lying leg curls superset with leg extensions 4 sets 12-15 reps each.

Straight leg deads

40k, 60k, 80k, 100k/ 10-12 reps each.

Pissy weights but a good workout lol

Glute and hammy tie in starting to clean up which is nice and got some good striations on my outside quad.

I'm similar to you in that not going on stage to show off what I've got, just going on to try and win so if it doens't come together...have to be next year.

I thought you were 105 a while ago...now you're "down" to 108. You jumping on different scales?

3 weeks is alot of time to get to the condition you want to be bro. If you have to sacrifice a little bit of size then so be it, you have more than enough anyway lol

If worst comes to worst and you don't compete, I could always use a tanner/motivator at the Nabba/wff Nats :pfft:

The bodybuilding equivalent of Rugby's post match jersey swap. Don't think my pumpkin patch sized t-shirt will fit the Island King-Kong though

Yeah but it fits perfect on Violet lol.... (my 15 month old daughter, but to be fair to Pete she is half samoan and eats like a horse!)

Trained Chest and back in the morning on saturday, more fast pace than a real weights workout. Short breaks and tried to keep intensity up

Front pulldowns 4 sets of 12-15

Incline bb press 5 sets working up to 120k for 2 sets of 10-12

Hammer strength one arm rows 5 sets 12 reps working up to 2 sets working up to 4.5 pps

Flat bench 4 sets of 12 up to 120k then 1 set of 8 with 140

Straight arm pulldowns 3 sets of 15

Cable crossovers 3 sets of 15

Done and dusted. Nice pump and sweated like a mofo. Went home and ate had a nap and then trained arms in the arvo.

Did 3 exercises each for triceps and biceps, hard and fast with forced reps and some negatives.

Sun off and monday did back again but more weights orientated.

Hammer strength high rows

1pps, 2pps, 3pps, 4pps, 4.5pps for 8-12 reps

Vgrip pulldowns 4 sets of 8-10

Db rows up to 2 sets of 10-12 with 65k dbs

Finished with straight arm pulldowns with palmsa facing, focussing on the contracted position. 5 sets of 12-15

Felt good today doing back. I wasn't as weak as I thought and I liked that my back was a bit sore from saturday, made me feel every rep.

As stupid as it sounds, I wasn't expecting him to be as big as he was, most "big" guys I've seen don't look so impressive in a T-shirt

Yeah man I told you he's a freakshow... I mean he was only about 103 when you were here so down like 7 kg from his weight of a couple of weeks ago and hard as nails. Plus he has a pretty small frame so his muscles just hang off him. He's back up to about 106 or something and still shredded like a mofo. I hate that guy lol

Ummm on some things yeah... I am actually trying to talk him into doing a show in march which I will do as well, not my smartest idea cos we'd be in the same class... I could do masters and escape the hiding!
