I mananged to keep strength about the same until about two weeks out - then it dived a bit!

Well I trained back yesterday and still managed some decent rows and chest this morning still inc db 65 for 9 so not too bad considering. It becomes a matter of not settling for less and knowing your body can do it despite the fatigue factor. I think SG is the king of that! Just keeps on going and going and going!

On point as always Big Boss Dawg! :grin:

I figure I got my mass through heavy weights on basic exercises, wtf would I change to high reps on cables / machines?!

As you point out though fatigue is the killer - my first sets might be as strong but as I progress the following sets / exercises drop off faster.

Legs this morning... won't even bother writing it down cos it was shit lol...

Going to do some testing tomorrow, bench, dead and squat. Don't know how I got talked into it but I am actually looking forward to it a little bit.

OK so this morning I did a typically ridiculously dumb bodybuilder thing cos I was training with a mate of mine and decided to see how much weight I could shift on my bigf compounds. Just for fun lol... I did legs yesterday morning and chest the day before that.

bw this morning was 109ish

I worked up to 240 squat for 3 (loose belt and wraps) My belt isn't meant to be loose but I must have bought it one offseason.

Bench did a triple on 180 that wasn't too bad and worked up to 3 on 240 for deads. (with straps cos I have the grip strength of a 10 year old)

I don't know what possessed me to do this today but I am guessing it's my disgust at just lifting baby weights for the last few weeks. Still not the best weights but all things considered I walked out of the gym satisfied.

I do my best, I actually want to have a crack when I get down to about 105 and see where my strength is at... sorry I haven't got back to you with that other stuff bro but in my defence I have been hectic! Oh and my brain is working even less than usual I have the damn thing mapped out just have to put it in a way that makes sense to someone other than me.

Good stuff on the testing bro - a really fucken dumb thing to do this close to a show, but I'd do the same just to reassure myself I hadn't lost too much mass! :grin:

Yeah actually looks like I am doing that show.. not to piss you off though just got a lot on with work. Coming on strong though so I am sure I will go ok.

Did shoulders this morning, been flying solo a fair bit lately due to not being able to coordinate timing with my TP so that's always fun on low carbs.

Did a bunch of stuff for rear delts, then some hammer strength presses up to 2 sets with 4pps for 10-12. Laterals and upright rows and that was it. Starting to struggle to find time to fit my training and cardio in but making the best of it.

Ran into Kevin O'Grady on saturday as well... have to say he is still a unit and kind of lit a bit of a fire in me to really lift my game.

Not long now and I'll have to start preparing pre-comp stuff like jellybeans, red wine, music, carbing-up meals, trunks, lipo-suction, and hammy implants. :doh:

Well you'll be happy to know I am down around 10k since we trained and will be down about 5 more or so come showtime. There will be nothing left of me at all. I may even need a wee stool to stand on just so people notice me!

Shoot you've cut up bigtime, you had more than enough mass to play with though so even if you lost some you'll be looking huge!

A shame the old show showdown - Harry, Joe, Philly never eventuated tho.

I would like nothing better than to get back onstage with 2 of my old long time friends, Joe and Phil... It will happen.. cept it will be next year and it will be Joe, Phil, Nate and I lol bring it bitches! lol

Ok well I have been thinking long and hard about whether or not I actually have the desire required to do these upcoming shows and whether or not I have the tools to DOMINATE the competition as I would like to. Stupid low carbs.

I do know I have been slack logging my workouts and making myself accountable. So I am writing this so I stop being a lazy bugger.

Back on the logging workouts trip and I will finally take some pics and post.
