Bro where do you pull from with your racks? knee height or below?

2 or 3 inches below knee height. Just above mid shin. Mind you I am short so if I put it any lower it's on the ground. I have tried from knee height and while I find I can lift a little more from there I prefer from a bit lower.

So many variations aye. I pull from about 2 or 3 inches below knee but It depends on where I train. Some racks wont go that low so Ill just go heavier. I think its all about squeezing your lats and getting a good pump on them

I just find from the lower height I get a better contraction at the top end. I start the bottom position flexing through my lats so I can feel them contracting further as I stand up with the weight.

Good to see some big units using the rack pull as a staple, I am often written off when I tell people it's a great back builder, the sweet spot for me is just below the knee cap or slightly above. The weight i can shift drastically increases with every couple of inches I move up great for the ego lol

Good point TWL. I dont see anything wrong with doing above the knee rack pulls when it comes to trying to build back size. Traps and upper back get absolutley hammered. I agree bout the ego mine grew a few inches after doing some 300kg rack pulls  :pfft:

Thank you everyone... I am basically just happy no one sent me a pic of a naked bodybuilding guy like they did poor Rookie ha ha ha ha although I shouldn't judge, maybe he liked it?

My best present today was a new close grip handle for tbars and pulldowns.. one of my friends bought me one cos I broke the one at the gym a couple of months ago and they still haven't replaced it!!!! Oh and it's engraved so they know I didn't pinch it!

You know you spend way too much time in the gym when that's what someone buys you as gift!!!!!!

Anyway now I am too old to weight train so if anyone is up for a game of shuffle board or perhaps some bingo.. let me know!

OK so my bday workout was back. Although I am thinking it's high time I just gave up training altogether in favour of more age appropriate things.

Hammer strength pullovers, 5 sets of 10-12 (first time on this machine, not a bad angle but you can put way too much weight on it, must be designed to make people feel strong?)

Db cross bench pullovers 5 sets of 12 up to 40kdb

Wanted to pre exhaust my lats and it worked, nice stretch and very pumped.

Bb rows (tried to stay old school bent right over)

Bark, 40k, 60k, 80k, 100k, 120k/12 reps each

140k/9

140k/7

100k/12

Close grip pulldowns 4 sets of 10-12

Parallel grip chins bw only 8/7

Brief workout really but I felt like I couldn't do anything else so that was enough... happy bday to me and my tiny back!
