28th March

Bench

60x10, 60x8, 100x5, 120x3, 140x1, 160x1, put my shirt on 200x1, 210x1,

30th March

Squats

60x10, 100x5, 140x3, 160x1, 180x1, 200x1, 220x1, 235x1, 250x3 went for a 4th rep but run out of steam and ended up getting crunched at the bottom hahaha :twisted: , 260kgsx2 with a little bit of a spot at the top not much though. :D

Good session to night pretty happy not long to go till comp, next session will be deadlifts Friday or Saturday.

Nice work on the Squats bro!

What squat numbers do you think you'll be trying for on the day? Do you use wraps? and if so at what set do you apply them. If i use them, its only ever on my top set if its less than 5 reps. I have been squatting with some big boys lately and they put wraps on whenever they go over 3 plates (and they go all the way to 9plates+).

Last week did some squats up to 245kgs for a single but left it there then did some walk outs from 260kgs-380kgs.

well 3days out and looks like I'm going to make weight :D weighed in to day at 119.8kgs so just under just hahaha.

Results from comp last Saturday I weighed in 117 kgs but felt like a dried up shriveled raisin hahaha felt flat all day that will teach me for not eating much all week hahaha to try and make weight :lol:

Squat

Ended opening up on 240kgs walked onto the platform and ever thing went out the window hahaha form was loose and kept looking at the ground

Second attempt

250kg

From was tighter but still was looking at the ground arr, Went deep but deeper than I usually go haha so didn’t make it

Third attempt

250kgs

Form was good looked up and was just shy of the depth but squatted it

mmm few things to work on here hahaha

had some food and a redbull was ready to bench :D

First attempt 180kgs

Benched it easy weight was a bit to light to get down in the shirt hahahah had to really pull it down

Second attempt 200kgs

Wasn’t to happy with the form but benched it

Third attempt 205kgs

Form was nice and tight benched it easy and it felt easier than the 200 hahha

215 here I come

Deadlift

Opened on 240kgs

Easy as

Second attempt 250kgs

Was easier than the 240 haha

Third attempt 265kgs

Got to amped up and rushed it and was to far away from the bar and was over reaching it no left

Owell not as good as I was hoping but still placed first at least and qualified for nationals next comp will be bench champs at Kudos. An old injury has flared up ( stupid elbow ) but should come right by then.

Well made a lot of mistakes at Waikato/BOP Champs but I have learnt from them and fixing them now :nod: . Sorted out the problem with my elbows as squats were aggravating it, all I had to do was make my form tighter and it took the pressure of my arms/elbows sweet. Next comp Waikato bench champs then Nationals

Bench press

60kgsx10, 60x8, 100x5, 130kgsx6sets of 3 reps

Squats

60x10, 60x8, 100x5, 140x3, 180x1, 200x6setsx2reps

Good Mornings (Knees bent) 60x10x3sets

Wednesday 27th April

Deadlift

Bench

60x5, 100x5, 140x5, 160x2, 120x10

Not bad train tonight,

Tried some PWR-Pre Workout tonight didn’t think much of it, used Gofast energy drink on Monday and got a better hit mind you I had drunken 3 cans before I had even got to the gym hahaha.

lol thats if i dont drink them all first hahaha
