hard to balance - more cardio could flaten you out more - less cardio not enough to move bfat.  You are looking good in these pics bro for two weeks out - alot happens in the last 5 days as you dry out.  Good luck with it and look forward to seeing your stage picks.

It's probably to late to make drastic changes to your diet and cardio. As Opti said will only make you look more depleted and flat. 

Drying out might help you a bit, but in terms of fat loss its probably to late IMO.

Opti and Jimmy, I agree to an extent. Not enough time for drastic change, but enough time for change, regardless. I have noticed an improvement in condition from the back. 

 

The low low calorie and increased cardio had flattened me out, but it has also hardened me up a bit and made me drier. Carbs tend to absorb into my body well do being flat isn't as issue because I know I can fill out with carbs.

 

If it does f*ck me over then you guys are right and I'm wrong, but I can't afford to leave it to chance with shredded guys like TLG and Michael Fowles (who I competed against at Wellington).

Also, you've got enough size that being flat isn't the end of the world. You could be flat, and still be bigger than your competitors. As you say, where they might get you is in the shred factor. So FWIW, I think you've made the right decision to try and lean up a bit more.

So had nationals in the weekend.

 

Placed 5th in a good junior line up. I was fucked over because of tan though. My tan was too light in the morning and I deserved to place higher, but shit happens.

They said that EVERY class would be re-judged (I assume they meant 50/50) in the evening show so to stay on our game. So I made my tan much darker, dried out, hardened up and got more vascular, and they didn't even fucking re-judge. They had made up their mind.

I know I was the biggest on out of all the juniors and if I was shredded, no one would have beaten me, and that's all my fault.

So I guess that's all I can really take away from this. I might not compete next year; take some time off to improve because placing 5th is the shittest feeling ever.

Out of interest, why would they be re-judging the classes? I don't understand that part. Unknw

Dunno but they were saying after every class of pre-judging "go rest and save energy for the show guys, we'll be re-judging then".

I didnt hang around for the evening show though so didnt see any of what they didnt do.

There's a perception among some of the bodybuilders that all the judging and decisions on placing are made at prejudging. So they end up stuffing themselves between the prejudging and the night show, and end up looking shit at the night show yet still win the class based on how they looked at prejudging. I think Moe was trying to prevent that from happening, whether he actually meant it or was just a tactic to scare us I don't know.

 

Did well Kyle, I think you should've placed at least one spot higher. Was good to meet you and your brother, just as funny in real life

I think re-judging isn't quite the right wording, but regardless, they didn't hold their promise.

 

I made big changes from the mornin show and our class was so close that I feel there should have been comparisons in the night show and I didn't get a chance to redeem myself.

 

but now I know to make my tan darker because no doubt they'll say the same thing next time round and it won't happen. Like I said, just gonna use this as fuel for my fire.

Lol not sure if srs but it's not accurate.

SS doesn't have a very wide structure and I think that's partially due to him being natty (also the way he trains as well but still has width) however, as a natty he's actually very well balanced and has quite a thick upper due to his heavy training and experience as a powerlifter.

Solid natural physique lolol.
