Whaddup everybody?! I've finally got my A into G and properly got my account re-registered on here. I dunno if posting will be a regular thing, but I'm back (kinda).

Thought I'd let you all know how I'm going at the moment.

Currently I'm preparing for the NZIFBB Wellington show in 4 and a half weeks time. I started the cut at about 77 and I weighed 71.8 this morning after a 0 carb day, so wasn't very full or vascular this morning, but still relatively hard.

I'm going to be competing in the juniors class and hopefully will get under 70 to do the open under 70 mens.

3 weeks ago, 7 weeks out from the comp, I deadlifted 220 for 2 at 72.5 kg (Never even pulled 220 for 1 before) and was squatted 220 for 3 in the second week of prep.

My chest is lagging still, but oh well, gotta work with what I've got. I started off on about 2100 cals per day, and that's been brought down to about 1850. When I drop carbs I replace it with protein (as you're meant to) to keep calories consistent and still drop the fat.

Anyway, here's a little quad pic from this morning. Remember, I'm carb depleted so not anywhere near as vascular as usual.

Anything else you wanna know, ask. I won't be discussing what I'm using though.

Always had the vein there but haven't really seen it on anyone else.

Thanks a lot bro. Here's a side chest and rear double bi. I have a lot to improve condition wise, but I'm full, hard and dry.

awesome portions mate! Hams like a god.

I would comment that it seem your taper would be something that could use some extra attention. not sure if wide waist or lats could use a little more meat? im not being critical, just want the best for you xoxo

Proportions are good, taper of back it wicked on both front double bicep and rear double bicep. Good back thickness as well. 

Chest is the only thing lack/less developed to the rest of your physique. How much more weight are you wanting to drop?

I actually agree with TM. I feel my back is lagging still, but it's made up for with a tiny waist. But yeah, still need to develop it some more.

 

Chest; still behind as it always has, but after realising that I should probably start training it more like I train legs, it's come up quite a bit. Just hard to tell with  everything else developing at about the ssame or a faster rate.

 

Thank you guys for the feedback! Definitely gonna work on those areas more and more

I'm with Jimmybro on this - nothing wrong with your v-taper (maybe that particular front double bicep pose doesn't show it off quite as well as the rear, but the difference is minimal).

Chest, you know about.

Shoulders - in your side chest, it looks like you're holding your front shoulder quite high (IMO). If you can drop it down, I think your posing will look a lot more relaxed. And if you can take it down and back, it'll help make your chest appear bigger. Hope that makes sense - have a play and see what you think, anyway.

This is just nit-picking over the details, of course. Overall, you look amazing.

So 2 more weeks left til show time. I figure I would post up a workout entry to show you guys that you shouldn't be afraid to still lift heavy when dieting. Bare in mind though, my girlfriends chihuahua died yesterday so I'm pretty sad and angry and didn't really give a f*ck what I did today.

 

So I trained back, and did some heavy deads.

220/1 was fucked off that I didn't get more so did a dropset down to 140 and hit out 12 reps, had a 10 second rest and got out another 3 or 4

 

close grip pull downs

104.5/3 dropset to 59 for a shit load of reps bringing the bar to my clavicle/throat and squeezing the f*ck out of my rhomboids and traps

Did a set of close grip pull ups for 10 then a set of wide grip for 8 then a set of neutral grip behind the neck for 6
