Heya CC - nice to hear from you. How're you finding the spin classes? I haven't been near the spin room in ages, but if they've picked-up the intensity and quality of the classes I might give it a go.

The last time I went, a couple of people in the row behind me were able to carry on a conversation comfortably through-out - not only was the workout too easy but the instructor let them get away with it :shrug:

Oooh that annoys the hell out of me. And it's just plain rude.

I've been a bit slack, with one thing and another lately, was a bit sick, then had another walking challenge (won another Logan Brown lunch - yippee!), but getting back into it again. Hubby's costume of choice for next year's Sevens involves a very short outfit on my part, so I forsee many visits to the spin room over the next few months :nod:

Thursday 13 Oct

0630 - cardio, hellish intensive kickboxing/ combat class. So freakin hard, forearms pumped and shoulders aching, putting a tie on sucked : :shock: :grin:

Friday 14 October

Went down to the gym, as you do... threw together some squats, culminating in 6x 3x 160 kg, and some bench.

Nice way to spend an arvo :) Plus, put some credits in the calorie bank for later... there will be cake - but no candles, do you KNOW how much heat that many throws out :pfft:

Standing Alt DB curls 20x 10s, 12x 15s, 10x 17s, 10x 17s

BB curls 12x 25 kg, 10x 30kg, 10x 35kg

Machine preacher 3x 12x 35 kg

French Press 20x 20kg 10x 25 kg, 8x 30kg, 8x 35 kg, 12x 35 kg

Machine Pull-over 20x 40kg, 3x 12x 60 kg

Machine Press-down 20x 20kg, 12x 30, 10x 35, 8x 40, 12x 35

Done...

Just groovin along at the moment, today was more squats, including some nice deep doubles at 170kg... getting there, need to bring in a laser pointer for depth gauge LOL

Ooohh doubles at 170kg...deep is good :nod:

Like Vee says vid is a great tool for checking your form etc and if it all goes well you get to bragg a bit too :grin: :grin:

Monday 25 October

Should have been chest, but training partner wanted a work-out so I followed his script... which was mostly quads-and-hamstrings.

Finished squats with a single at 180kg, which would have been bodybuilder standard, but not three-whites. Happy just to have survived it after the build-up tho, and since nothing burst, we'll claim it.

Last of the day was seated hamstring curls, 1x 5x 119kg... which made getting down the stairs afterwards "interesting" :roll: :grin:

Precautionary post to stop me slipping to page 2 :)

Weds 26 Oct - some fun with training partner, managed some good squats at 180 and a semi-respectable 190, still feeling my way down into the hole.

Thurs 27 Oct - more cardio monkey

Friday 28 Oct - no training - work-day from hell... :madman:

Off to buy some Chucks.... and if anyone has a truly-effective set of hamstring stretches, I'm all ears :pray:
