Rouge fitness took their sweet time to get the shoes to me (xmass shipping and all :? ) plus I injured my back 3 weeks ago. Only squatted a few times since than and they were light sessions. Wouldn't be fair to judge the shoes on those sessions alone. Also I had my old ones for nearly 10 years and I really got used to wearing them so that initially influenced my expectations.

I try to get around to a review at some stage if I muster up the willpower... you put the bar too high with that 10,000 word essay of yours :wink: (great read tho... showed it to a friend and they decided to get a Volt also!)

So far the shoes are great quality, very stable ... feel planted and solid.

The only thing I could wish for is that they had the same kind of forefoot design as my old adidas one. As far as i am aware the version that I wore previously (with the kangaroo leather) is the only one that you had to get a half or 3/4 size smaller than your actual shoe and they eventually stretched to the size of your foot. This was a painfull - uncomfortable process that took about 5 - 6 sessions but resulted in an incredible fit (the forefoot literary stretched / molded to the dimensions of your feet).

The new ones are winning everywhere else... heel, weight, heel cup, how solid and stable they are ... etc but the forefoot "grip".

To be fair I don't think any other weightlifting shoe has done that ever since and if I wouldn't have that particular shoe I would rate it 10/10. Right now I give it a 9/10 only because I know that is the only thing that could be improved. I guess the same goes for Nike as well. I will have a look at my friend's one when it gets here...
