Good question Phed. It made me think about it a bit...

I like to make the 74 class. It is the lightest I have been over a decade :pfft: and I like to carry this feeling "athletic / being light on my feet" into the next training block but probably not worrying so much about my actual weight.

At this stage I just want to have a bit of fun. Get my openers and than put some numbers on the board whatever they might be.

My build up was pretty short around 40 something days by the comp rolls around, and not very structured. I pretty much tried to hammer everything home in the last minute :pfft: :pfft: :pfft:

Right now I have lot of holes in my game needing to be patched up but at least now I know what they are.

I just want to have fun, feel the rush of the platform again and remain injury free if I can... Than I can start worrying about future goals and place expectations on my self :)

Light shoulder work...

Turned out to be a low energy session. Took me a while to warm up but by the time I got to 150 it felt ok. After this comp I will look into some technical work on the squats. Not going to change much fopr this comp. Not worth it so close to it but good to be aware that there is a few things I can improove on.

I think I'm drinking too much coffee while I slave away in the library. Time to cut it down a bit and let the adrenals rebound :)

Illegal wides felt pretty good today. The shoulder work seems to be patching up the wholes... The usual (too little too late :pfft: next training block :wink: )

Weight: 74.7 in undies only :oops:

Food: Ops... :oops:

Stress: A bit too high for my likeing.

Sleep: ok.

Ok session.

Average energy levels. A bit better than last time.

Squats were ok. At the moment I suck at any weight as soon as it is more than 3 reps :pfft:

Happy with the paused bench while it was a bit on the hard part I remember a few weeks back struggling with this as a touch and go. No idea what I could get with a touch and go ... perhaps a 120. Hard to say without trying it.

Not a spectacular session. After having two days off from physical activity my body find it hard to get moving again.

Funny, one would think the rest would help but it seem to have the oposite effect on me.

I will do a light work out tomorrow as well.

Slightly better session than yesterday. I did take my time with the dynamic warm ups today, used a few from the Agile 8 as well. Body felt better for it I think.

130 was easier than yesterday but 140 wasn't as sharp as usually.

I will do some squats tomorrow as well. I will go by feel.

BW: 73.8 this morning in undies only.

Sleep: Ok.

Stress: Too much. End of term approaching, I have a lot of school work on. I have to write a research proposal etc.... End of term always messes with my eating/recovery/lifting.... :?

Food: I will have to be spot on with this today and tomorrow. I don't want to hold any unnecessary water.

For someone that hasn't lifted in comp for a few years you did extremely well bro :clap: Was good to finally put a face to a name too I will say though you are a bit more than only human :lol: Hope you had a few burgers to celebrate....too many veins brah! :grin:

almost has more cuts in his quads than mine! :pfft: good to meet you today bro, i was taken by your flawless technique in all 3 lifts and very strong for your weight to boot! be good to see on back on the platform again

Thank you Big John!!! I really appreciate the compliments and I will work hard to earn them :) I missed being able to lift real bad. kind of wish I never took so much time off and try to hammer home everything in the last few weeks :pfft: Looking forward to catching up with you guys at the next comp!

Overall I am happy with how I went today. I had fun and I really enjoyed being back on the platform. I struggle recalling the last time when I was this light :? maybe 20 years ago... probably more so it was nice to see what I can move at this body weight and with such a short build up. Some quality weight gain is in order and probably would help my lifting... I am just too skinny for my own good I think.

I am a bit disappointed with the failed 170 on the squat but I consider it a good learning experience and now I have a clear idea on what needs to be done. I have been thinking about what sort of training program/set up I like to use to patch up the glaring holes in my game.

I can't express it any better than this :

Will probably come up with some bastardized program which is the offspring of some template gangbang.

I will ponder some more about what I want to do but at this stage I feel I need more volume, moderate to moderate high intensity and medium frequency to build a foundation. Using the basics and some prehab - rehab work.

It has been a while... 2007 :oops:

Today reminded me how much fun I have been missing out on :)

I have been planning a template over the last 2 weeks or so. Nothing to crazy (I think.) Just the basics and a few little extra here and there to patch up weaknesses.
